I am not one to write reviews, but I owe this place one. As a neighbor, I am a default regular. You might even call me furniture since you can expect I'll sit in the same spot every time - if my chair is available.
I have been coming here for several years. To start, a disclaimer: There have been times I chose to come less frequently & went elsewhere for better service, food, prices, whatever. But, I'd always pop back in every few months, mostly because it is the only real option in walking distance. Now, I pop in a few times a week! Here's why:
Renovations aside, the service has greatly improved. I usually sit in the bar area. While none are bad (anymore), my favorite bartender is Austin. He is pleasantly conversational. Down to earth & relatable, he offers more than small talk without being too much - which is a hard balance to find, especially around this area. Recently, he's even offered to hold my newborn so I could eat my tacos with both hands! A true class act.
If the kitchen makes any kind of mistake, then they will go the extra mile to make it right. For example, I recently ordered nachos with queso on the side. The queso came on top. The server alerted me of the mistake immediately, rather than waiting for me to say something. While they prepared the correct order, they let me enjoy the first one and then sent me home with a second one, with the queso on the side. :)
Yes, prices have increased, but that's everywhere. While I still try to avoid paying full price, I sometimes splurge for a full order of wings because they are simply much better and meatier than other places. However, I usually stick to the specials. Now that they have $1 wing Wednesdays, I will wait until Wednesdays to order my wings. There are very few times when there aren't any specials. I rarely can make it for Fire Hour (2-4 weekdays), but those prices are truly unbeatable. The Happy Hour prices are also great deals, and there are many delicous options. Even though one of my faves is not on the menu anymore, they're still more than happy to make me the retired pair of Buffalo Chix Tacos (or the beef counterpart) upon request. Try it! Thank me later.
They cook to order, so there is a wait time but nothing unrealistic for FRESH food. I highly encourage folks to try to dine in so they can eat the food immediately. I personally would not use Doordash or the like for ordering wings, because wings are not the same after sitting 15-20 minutes. That is true of anywhere, but I include it as some of the negative reviews are clearly "user error" to me rather than...
Read moreThe reason why I give it 1 star is because the restaurant does not know how to wash they cup in Soap N Hot water. Me and friend came in tonight. I ordered a lemonade, and my friend ordered a Diet Coke. When we received our drink, my friend noticed that the cup smelled like bleach. I smelled his cup, and it did have a bleached smell to it. I tasted my lemonade, and it did not sit well with me either. The taste was off. My Lemonade did not taste right. We informed the waitress/hostess, and she noticed the smell too. She took our drinks back, and the waiter Peter came. He listened to our concern, and went to check things. The waitress came by with new drinks, and said she smelled them herself, and they were good. My friend and i smelled our drinks, and the plastic glasses still had that smell. We told the Waitress, and she went and got the Manager Ryan P. He listened to our concern, and asked if we liked them in to go cups. We agreed. Our food came, and we ate. The food was good. After we finished, Ryan came over and asked us if we wanted dessert. We said we were too full. He tried to sell us on the fried oreos and hot fudge brownie sundae. We did not think nothing of it. A few minutes later, he came back later and took our plates and asked us if we were ready to go. His tone had completely changed. Then moments later, he came and asked again if we were ready to go, and that he can get the check We said the check would be fine. A third time again, he asked if we were ready. It was he was rushing us for some reason. He made his round, and then came back to our table and he asked if we needed to split the check. My Friend said no. And my friend was irritated at why he was rushing us to get out of the establishment. Eventually Peter came back and we settled our payment with him. Peter and the waitress with red hair were great the whole. So we left. When I got home, I did not feel right. So drink a large cup of water, and next thing I am in the bathroom vomiting in the toilet for a little bit. Everything came. That lemonade from those cups did not sit well with me. Whomever is higher up, please change that policy of putting a solution on plastic cups and then serving them to other. Just wash them in some soap and water. Me throwing up is proof that those cups were sanitary. Very unsafe. I will say that Buffalo WIng Factory is not on my friend and myself to ever go back. Not a safe place to me after...
Read moreTHE BEST WINGS IN ALL OF VIRGINIA! Review + Photos Must Read!
Today Buffalo Wing Factory has a fresh new look! They have done a complete remodel (photos below) and have added new items to the menu!
I have traveled all over the state of Virginia, and have been to almost every resturant the sells wings. Better then BDubs, Champs, Wing Stop and all other wing establishments I have been to. When I took a bite, the best way I can describe it, is it melts in your mouth. I ordered 5 wings Extra Hot Extra Wet..... YUM! My drink is a drink thats a secret item. Pink Lemonade, ik ik nothing special right? Wrong! It was introduced to me by one of the most kindest, professional, genuinely sincere servers I have ever had the pleasure of serving me. Her name is Flo.
Her Pink Lemonaid imo should be served with all wings because it gives the perfect blend of flavor I have ever enjoyed. I encourage everyone who enjoys Lemonaid and Wings to Please stop by and check them out. Its on the level of a High End Resturant. A example would be Clyde's.
Something I want to point out.
You can tell how a business is run by its employees. It starts at the top and it shows here.
When you have great management that actually cares about its employees and treats them well as everyone should be. It reflects all the way from the CEO to the servers.
Today I watched as the Vice President of BWF and many others whos title I dont know came. They where not uptight, egotistical or better then everyone else.
From a outside view everyone including the VP was happy, having fun, and polite and respectable to everyone! When this happens it reflects on the food, the atmosphere and Buffalo Wing Factory, you have been noticed.
Keep up the good work! I will be visiting all your other locations soon.
