You're not going to believe this, and I can only hope that once I post this publicly, the Cheeburger, Cheeburger management will work extra diligently to prove me wrong.
At least twice a year, for the last 20 years, I pass through Richwood International Airport. I use the term "pass through " loosely, because due to my status as a stand-by passenger, I am often "a resident " of RIC while I wait for hours on end for my next chance to board a flight.
My restaurant of choice during those long hours of waiting has always been the Cheeburger Cheeburger in RIC. They don't seem to like me as much as I like their chocolate milkshakes & fries, though.
About 8-10 years ago, I started noticing that every time I visited Cheeburger Cheeburger and ordered a chocolate milkshake, the response would be one of various, but similar reasons why my order could not be fulfilled. A couple of examples of the reasons, or excuses, are as follows: "We're out of chocolate ice cream." (This, being the most common response, by far.) "Our shake-maker is broken." At first I didn't think anything of it, but when the personnel at the same restaurant gives the same excuse for the exact same order, year after year after year... Something's not right! I don't have this experience at any other Cheeburger Cheeburger restaurants. Over the years I have contacted, spoken with, and have even been treated to free meals, but as I passed through this morning, unfortunately my experience was exactly the same, and I was not able to reach any of the managers on any of the 5 phone numbers I was given by those same managers, one being Johanna. What's it going to take to get a chocolate milkshake from the RIC CHEEBURGER...
Read moreI fly out of Richmond once or twice a month and often am in search of a breakfast sandwich. Their menu offers no pics and very little description of the meal. For instance, today I was going to get a sausage breakfast sandwich, it did not mention if it came with egg and that was not an option to add - and with no photo there was no way to tell. With the cook being less than 5’ away and through an open window I called out to him multiple times, but he did not even look in my direction - perhaps it was because he was wearing ear buds and typing in his phone (there was no one else waiting for an order). Zero customer service and you are obviously taking a chance with what they serve you since there is no accurate description of what you’ll get - add to this no employees (you order through a kiosk) and a cook that even when not working can not be bothered to answer a question. I don’t even know why I keep trying to get anything from here as it is the same every time - perhaps I am hungry and want to get a bite to eat before my flight. I also tried to reach out to them via their website and even though they have multiple locations, this one is not listed and without being able to make a location selection, you can’t reach out. Just a waste of what could be...
Read moreTypical Airport Burger Place. I ordered the Serious Burger with Bacon, and an order of Fries. It came to $14.83 without a drink.
They Have a self severing kiosk where you order you food and pay, which was pretty good.
Everything was fresh, and hot. The fries were very good, but the burger meat lacked taste. Even with salt and pepper.
It was a nice sized burger and portion of fries. But the burger itself was hot, fresh, and tasteless, even with mustard and mayo.
I had to request condiments, and utensils as the burger was large.
The floor of the establishment was very nasty and appeared to have missed a mopping or two.
The Employees had a great attitudes and appeared to have an enjoyable time at work...loud music and loud conversations that spilled into the lobby. The side door was open, and you could peer into the kitchen if you wanted too.
Nevertheless, I'll take fun and happy over rude, and a negative...
