Samuel Adams Brewhouse — Restaurant in Virginia

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Samuel Adam’s Brewhouse recently. My friends and I, the only Latino patrons in the bar that evening, were looking forward to enjoying a meal alongside our drinks. However, our server, Adam, flatly refused to take our food order.

Not only was Adam dismissive and rude, but his behavior was so noticeable that other patrons in the bar started to stare. It was an incredibly uncomfortable situation that made us feel unwelcome and singled out.

The management's response to our complaint was lackluster at best, offering a half-hearted apology without any real attempt to address the discriminatory treatment we received. This incident left a sour taste in our mouths, overshadowing any enjoyment we might have had from the drinks or atmosphere.

Overall, Samuel Adam’s Brewhouse failed to provide a basic level of service and hospitality. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a welcoming and inclusive environment. Discrimination should have no place in any bar or restaurant, and it's disappointing to see such behavior...

Me and my husband sat down at the bar to order a beer before our flight; we tried to order politely, but the bartender shut us down pretty quickly and said "give me a second." Couple minutes pass by and we see multiple people order drinks at the bar and at the tables and this bartender, named ADAM, continued to ignore us right in our faces. We were the only non-white people in the restaurant, and we really don't want to think it was that. But he refused us service until we felt so uncomfortable that we left. What a 4 minute experience - arrived at 10:32 am and picked up the breakfast menu which they apparently stop serving at 10:30 am. Two minutes later a server from behind the bar yanks the menus from my hand and without saying a word provides me with a lunch menu. I ask another server if I could get a breakfast item and get the explanation that we need to change over to lunch and put everything for breakfast away. I’d understand but they literally have five items with the exact same thing roll or biscuit egg and meat. And I am pretty sure, other than the egg, all the other items are on the “lunch” menu. Yes, this happened all with 4 minutes as i left at 10:36 - probably way before the breakfast stuff was put away. I will never buy or drink another Sam...
