The service from Friday night was absolutely horrendous. I have seen bad customer service before; however, the service tonight took it to a whole new level. I arrived at 6:40PM, waited 1.5 hours for a table after being told it would be a 20-30 min wait. Server kept saying that heâd check on our orders but didnât seem to know what we ordered. He came back and asked us a few times whether our sushi had come out yet. I had not ordered sushi for the table yet, so I was a bit confused. I mentioned that we had not put in any orders of sushi, but were still waiting on our appetizers. This back and forth went on for a while. He finally understood, and I decided to put in all of our sushi orders to avoid waiting any longer. At this point, we had seen many tables leave due to waiting 45 min-1 hour for any of their appetizers to come out.
After waiting for 1-1.5 hours after being seated, we got all of the sushi rolls that we ordered - but still waiting on some of our apps.We ended up leaving at 10:50PM. In the end, our server said that he did not see our ticket for the rest of the kitchen appetizers (obviously, since I ordered them 2 hours ago haha), but I kindly said that it was alright.
I have been in Richmond for my whole life, and I had never experienced anything close to this before. The food was subpar, but based off of the wait time for being seated and the wait time for getting the food, I will not be recommending this restaurant unless the management changes and the staff are spoken to. I understand that it is a soft opening for their AYCE Sushi, but if the staff was not prepared for how busy the restaurant would be on a Friday night in their first week, then they should take some time off to re-evaluate how they can proceed in the future to prevent this from happening again.    Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at this all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant during a âLightning Shared Scooter Company meet-up where we discussed passive income strategies, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised! I had never heard of the place before, but Iâm so glad we chose it. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with smiles (shout out to my server Hope), seated promptly, and served drinks right away. The service was top-notch!
The restaurant itself is beautifully designedâthe woodwork and lighting set the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing meal. As for the food, the selection is outstanding! From the fresh, creative sushi to the delicious Pad Thai and shumai, every dish exceeded my expectations. They offer both all-you-can-eat and Ă la carte options, and everything was fairly priced. Even the Coca-Cola was perfectâcrisp and balanced, just the right mix of syrup, CO2, water, and ice.
The cleanliness of the restaurant was impressive, though the bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner. While they weren't dirty, they just didnât match the pristine standard of the rest of the restaurant. However, the decor in the restrooms was still on point, like the rest of the space.
One thing to note is the limited group seatingâprobably enough for about 25 people comfortablyâbut for smaller gatherings, itâs ideal. If youâre looking for a great spot for all-you-can-eat Asian cuisine, this place is a fantastic choice. There are plenty of vegetarian options too, with endless combinations to keep everyone happy.
The LSSC (askme1 .com) corporation has decided that this will be their permanent meetup place. This place gets my stamp...
Read moreI stumbled upon Yoshi Sushi while shopping in the Willow Lawn shopping center. I googled the menu before entering and was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. Traditional sushi roll price points start at $4.5. They also served a variety of reasonably priced entrees. I spent about $30 for 2 people (split between myself and my 9 year old son). I ordered one entree, 3 sushi rolls, and 2 salads.
The staff was extremely pleasant and the customer service was stellar. I ordered my food to go and was quoted about 20 minutes for my wait. After 5 minutes, someone went to check on my order and it came out about 5 minutes after that. The restaurant was packed, but the kitchen was speedy.
While I waited, I learned from the host/cashier that the old management stayed on as a merger so their menu also offers items from the former restaurant, King Crab. They kept the former decor, including the interior King Crag signage. To my surprise, the seafood boils and a la cart items were also very reasonably priced.
The icing on the cake was getting home and discovering that I'd received a full order of seaweed salad!!! They did not use cucumbers underneath the seaweed to make it appear as if there were more. A+++
I will be frequenting this establishment and I look forward to the dine in experience in the...
