Crucibles Cuisine — Restaurant in Virginia

I went there a couple weeks ago with some family members to catch up. The waiter was a complete joke and when he took our order he only sat at one side of the long table making us have to yell our orders out. When it arrived we got 2 taco salads when we ordered one, one of my family members ordered a BLT which had two sad pieces of bacon they dug from the bottom of the fryer one piece of lettuce and tomato with no mayo. One of my family members ordered meatloaf and got ketchup with a side of meatloaf. And one of the owners was walking around with her baby. Walking in and out of the kitchen with it now I don’t know if it’s a health code violation here but it’s common sense you don’t do that. The owner was also very snarky like it’s our fault for their excuse of a restaurant. We called hours after to complain they said they would call us back, we’re still waiting.. I’ve gotten more call backs from my ex than I’ve ever had in this place. This place doesn’t even deserve this 1 star don’t waste...

Ate supper there last night and I have to say the food was horrible I ordered catfish fries and deviled eggs so first off the catfish was as thin as cardboard and rubbery the fries were definitely a cheap generic brand and since when is a deviled egg a boiled egg cut in half because that's all it was y'all should be ashamed to call this soul food my girlfriend ordered chicken and dumplings with mashed potatoes and green beans the chicken and dumplings was nothing but a bunch of shredded chicken most likely out of a can no flavor whatsoever the mashed potatoes were instant and the green beans were also out of a can nothing had any flavor at all y'all should be ashamed to call this soul food never heard of instant potatoes and food out of a can being called soul food and flavorless complete waste of money Rating this a one-star is one star too many. Overall, we enjoyed our trip to Manny's. They have alot of choices from soul food, seafood and Mexican food. I got stir fry with steak tips and a side salad. The salad was amazing! It was very fresh and had plenty of veggies on it, and they brought 3 containers of dressing with it. The stir fry had rice in it, which I wasn't expecting, but it was ok. Some of the steak tips were a little tough, but the majority were good. My husband ordered country style steak and gravy, mashed potatoes and okra, but he got green beans instead of okra. The potatoes tasted a little burnt, but he said that the green beans and country style steak were really good. I would definitely eat there again. The service was good except for the mix-up with the sides, but that could have been a kitchen problem instead of a waitress problem. Update: Second trip for lunch and everything was great!
