Dalia's Ice Cream & Bakery — Restaurant in Virginia

I have been a regular customer at Dalia’s since being introduced to it in 2019. At one point their blackberry ice cream was literally the only thing that I would eat for EVERY MEAL, EVERY DAY!!! I even had an order for the blackberry ice cream by the tub scheduled for every two weeks. I rant to everybody I know about my love for their ice cream and make sure to explain in the following sentence their location. My love for Dalia’s, my respect for their loyal workers and the rapport I developed with them and Dalia herself over the years is what makes me particularly heartbroken to say that I likely will never return. I arrived at Dalia’s at 8:59pm when they close at 9:00pm which certainly isn’t idle timing. However, within their business hours. Dalia’s was still fully staffed, lights on, etc. and I was turned away. Not only was I denied service but Dalia’s husband and co-owner was extremely rude and disrespectful. He repeatedly said the same thing over and over in a very condescending tone and never bothered to make eye contact or speak to in the same respectful manner of which I have always spoken to him. His reason for denying me service was that they close at 9:00 and refused to to acknowledge that I was there prior to. Again, I concur that my timing was not ideal but with the store still staffed and open I don’t feel as though I was asking for anything outrageous by inquiring to buy a cup of a single flavor of ice cream. Dalia’s doesn’t value their customers or loyalty which is a true shame because I for know that regardless of the like one can have for something at the end of the day without principles and gratefulness for loyal customers the best of anything quickly...

I been going to Dalia since she had her first location at the flea market. She has always been kind and welcoming.

I live about 40 minutes away from her Paleteria! It's definitely worth the drive! Her pastries are absolutely delicious! They are fresh and when I buy them I eat them on the way home. Haha.

Her tamales de Elote and her jugos frescos are so delicious!

What keeps me going is her customer service! She is always so welcoming and she makes you feel like family when you walk in! She is such a sweet lady!

I absolutely love her 3 leches cakes! I bought many 3 leches cakes from other places but this one is the best! It's the perfect ratio of CAKE AND MILK. ITS NOT TOO SWEET ITS PERFECT! ALSO HER MIL HOJAS CAKE IS SO GOOD! I BOUGHT THE ENTIRE CAKE ONE TIME! THE PARTY LOVED IT!

You want real ice cream with original and exotic flavors? This is your place. Hubby had the pecan ice cream which I swear must have had a stick of butter in it. I had the mamey (a tropical fruit) and Tres Leche (cake) ice cream which was so heavenly - where sweet meets creamy! Daughter had blackberry which when asked if it was good gave high praise of yes and no you can’t try it Mom. Translated means oh yes outstandingly good but I don’t want you to eat half of it. The place is packed full of treats and goodies (great place to shop for a child’s party) in three aisles and the ceiling full of piñatas. There is also I believe homemade Popsicles in various flavors plus others homemade goodies offered on their boards on the wall plus there is plenty of seating on the side. The staff and owners are very pleasant and nice. Come,...
