Gunston Deli, Grill, & Store — Restaurant in Virginia

Been coming here for years and today was the first time I haven't felt welcomed. The service was completely terrible. The asian girl was out of line and beyond disrespectful. The staff made a mistake on our sandwiches, however she said "what do you think we're supposed to do with them? do you want us to just scrape the ketchup off? you need to know what you want before you order." As if their mistake is our problem. Why would scraping off ketchup on a sandwich I didn't want ketchup on fix the issue. I asked what the ingredients in the eggrolls were, she said "I said vegetables" with a tone. Why not just repeat yourself professionally. As we left, she said "I hope they never come back." No customer service training, no situational awareness and no problem solving skills. She is utterly disgusting and needs to be fired. Because of her, the deli has lost our business. My breakfast is so delicious and the service here is amazing! They greeted me with smiles and positive attitude! The young lady at the counter really helped me and gave me some awesome recommendations. She told me about the ham omelette, and I chose that from my breakfast. I was talking to her about TikTok and how the restaurant recommended me to come there and try it out. She was excited because it was her on that TikTok video and how the video reached out to the locals.

New management didn’t help the food quality or the service. I was TOTALLY ignored as 2 customers were asked for their order before me. I will find another deli close or far to replace this toilet of cuisine.

In response: I’ve eaten there before since I work across the street. There was no one in line when I got there and as new customers entered you took their order. I waited 3 more minutes and decided you thought I was a non-person. So I left. I have since offered $500 to your regular customer to never go to your deli again.
