Astro Jump of Metro DC — Local services in Lorton

If you are having an event "Do Not" I repeat "Do Not" use this company, you will be disappointed........ I paid in full weeks in advance for a Cotton Candy and Snow Cone machine and Tug A War Rope for a family Game Day Event which was planned for August 8th 2015.

First let me start out by saying the equipment was suppose to be delivered at 10:00 a.m. however they arrived at 12noon. Once Arriving we were told that they didn't have a Snow Cone Machine for us because it was broken (lies) I called the office let them have it for not even informing me that the machine would not be delivered and was told it wasn't broken but it had been rented out to too many people on that day so it wasn't available.

I asked to speak to the manager or owner and was told no manager was working and neither was the owner.

So the guy tried to get me to switch out the equipment from a snow cone machine to take a popcorn machine instead . After I bought ice and additional syrup to use in the equipment so that we would have more than enough for the 80 children attending the event.

It just keeps going with this company one thing behind the other so I go to use the cotton candy machine and was never left the items (cones,sugar) to make the the cotton candy for the kids. It was suppose to be 50 cones and enough syrup for 50 servings (never was it received) I used what I brought additionally for the cotton candy machine. (didn't get what I paid for)

Finally to top it off they were scheduled to pick up the items by 8 pm lol the called at 8:45 pm to say they are on the way and arrived to pick the equipment of at 9:30 pm I was afraid to leave the equipment because of how things had been going with this poor services because if the equipment was missing I feared they would try to charge me for the equipment.

It is Monday morning and being a very angry unsatisfied customer I made it my business to call at 10 am to speak to the manager/owner guess what guys first I was told they are all in meetings discussing all issues they had over the weekend. Then I am told it is no one I could speak to because the they haven't arrived.

If you know what I know don't use this company not only will they honor the contract but you will have issues speaking with someone in charge and or getting your refund....

I will be posting this information all over the internet so that NO ONE else will have to live through this nightmare I had to live with.

If I don't get a full refund I will be taking them to small claims court and will be reporting them to the BBB. I WANT A FULL REFUND!

I can not speak more highly of Astro Jump -- they are truly a class act operation. Everything from their selection, their can-do attitude, their ability to execute and they know the business better than their competitors. I chaired a large function for my kids end of year carnival which is a big end of year celebration for all the grades and is highly attended by parents, staff, and community neighbors and this was the first year we used ASTRO JUMP. Now that we have experienced what it's like to work with ASTRO JUMP, we will never go back to any other company. Even the parents were so impressed with ASTRO JUMP. Their moon bounces are awesome, their diversity in what they have to offer and selection is the best-- I mean absolute best. Now I think to myself "why on earth had we not used ASTRO JUMP before???" The kids loved every single bounce, double water slide, the velcro jump wall and three days after the event are STILL TALKING ABOUT it being the best. I want to thank ASTRO JUMP and George and his team for helping us create the best event we could have asked for. At one point it even started to rain, and we thought it would be over…. but nope. The ASTRO JUMP attendants were calm and collected in the eye of a storm (no pun intended) and let the kids know that once it stopped raining and winds died down, the bounces and slides would be inflated in no time. And sure enough that is what happened. The rain went away and we were back in business. If you don't know about ASTRO JUMP, I suggest you look them up and call them if you ever need a company to parties/ big carnivals. I didn't realize they also do smaller scaled parties too - which is a huge bonus. ...

We rented a mechanical bull and a Velcro wall from Astro Jump DC. The service was phenomenal starting with Amanda was my interface at Astro Jump. Although I was out of the country at time, she was gracious and very responsive. She never hesitated to accept my call and answer my calls ( which the was many). She was very knowledgeable with the equipment and informed me of the setup requirements and safety precautions, allowing me to pre-plan the location and electrical requirements.

The equipment arrived RIGHT ON TIME (I have a problem with lateness) and was set up very quickly. The driver/operator was very personable, courteous, and professional. We had over 140 guests, many of whom wanted to try out the bull. Many had never experienced riding a bull. The operator was extremely accommodating, hardly taking a break for the whole day.

The equipment worked flawlessly. Although we had several other attractions, these two attractions were at the top of the list for entertainment. Summarizing, I have say Astro Jump is an amazing company and I will certainly call on them again. And I will not hesitate to refer them to friends and other...
