WARNING TO THOSE WITH ALLERGIES!!! We order and said “no peanuts”. When I ate the lo mein, I started having an allergic reaction. We called to figure out what was going on and after much deliberation with the chef, they told us there’s a peanut sauce on the noodles. THIS WAS NOT MENTIONED ANYWHERE ON THEIR MENU! (See the screenshot).
The woman on the phone tried to make it our fault even though we specified “no peanuts”. When we told her we wanted a refund, she put us on hold for 10 minutes. When your business almost kills someone, you should be the one offering a refund immediately.
If they don’t know simple practices for allergies, I wouldn’t be surprised with other basic restaurant standards they’re not adhering to....

It was also very clean, which is a big plus. The service was great & the food was ready rather quickly. We have tried several Chinese restaurants in Charlottesville (and other areas), Hong Kong Restaurant is definitely at the top of our list for the best! The food was absolutely delicious & the portions were substantial. We had plenty leftover for a couple of days. The prices were some of the cheaper ones we have seen around town.
