Jalapeños — Restaurant in Virginia

Finally walked out tonight after being a somewhat regular diner for the last 2 years. The food isn't worth the poor service.

Arrived to an empty counter and one other person waiting. Another family enters while we wait and the hostess arrives and ignores us to say hi to the known regular. The staff finally acknowledged us then sat the folks that came in last before they sent us to a table.

Table side was no better. Server was slow to bring drinks then plopped them on the table without even a glance at us or word before she ran off again. When we were finally allowed to order it became too much. Tried to make our usual orders of normal menu items, that have been no issue in 2 years, and she started arguing with me about her confusion. After 3 attempts to be understood we were done and went looking for a different place to spend our money.

Time to try some of the other places around and see who values our business. Jalapeno's doesn't unless they know you or they decide working is better...

Had a rather unusual experience at this restaurant. It was my first time dining there. I ordered the tortilla soup. What was brought out wasn’t the expected soup. I received a bowl of chicken, mushrooms and tortilla strips in a broth. I explained to our waitress that this wasn’t what I ordered and that I wanted tortilla soup. She looked a bit confused and I asked was it common for mushrooms to be in tortilla soup. She said yes. I then told her I didn’t want the soup and would like something else since this wasn’t what I was thinking tortilla soup is. She came back with a plate and told me to pick the mushrooms out. Didn’t want to make a fuss so I didn’t push the matter and asked for my check. Paid for the food and wrote in a tip despite the service I received. Here is the most disturbing part. Once the transaction process my bank account showed they changed my tip amount and charged me more than I agreed to when I filled in the receipt and...

First time going had a bit of a wait before anyone came the front with 3 other parties waiting. All the parties said they love this Resturant and everything is good. One customer said the large chimichanga is her favorite.So i was so excited and abby(very sweet) explained to me the lunch chimichanga is two small pieces and the dinner is one large chimichanga using her hands to show me how big it would be. I said great asked and paid for extra toppings. I get home was pleased with packaging but when i go to cut the chimichanga in half i see two small size looking enchiladas not a large nor medium size chimichanga. I call back and get a different woman that couldnt find my order but said no you only get one small chimichanga at lunch and two small at dinner. I said no thats not what she said . This woman cared -0% that i paid apprx $23.00 for basically two soft rolled tacos with toppings. Bad service and i will spread the word of...
