We came to visit from Philadelphia with our Virginia family. They suggested we try this place for somewhere new to eat. Upon arrival the entry is a bit dim. We weren't greeted immediately but on the next time she walked by. We asked to be seated at a booth and some time to review the menu. We were looking and undecided so we asked questions about a few of the items and because of the price you didn't want to order and then waste the food. So we ordered the Philly cheese steak sub, the cheese steak Stromboli, Ceasar salad and cheeseburger, fries and onion rings and two drinks. The sub was supposed to have provolone cheese, American and cheddar. No provolone cheese was on it and the sub did not cover the bread. The Stromboli once she picked it up all the meat slid to the bottom leaving nothing but bread at the top. The Ceasar salad she said was just okay and the burger the same. But the onion rings stole the show for me. But the price of the food ($73) did not match the portions served and the customer service was lacking. It seemed like she didn't want to be bothered. So she came and gave us to-go containers and a cup for my lemonade. (The paper barely made it back to the hotel). We tipped and left. However, there was a female teenager that came over and spoke and offered us bags for our food. She had the warmest and friendliest demeanor and good observation at reading the situation. I wish her all the best on...
Read moreI don’t like writing bad reviews. I live here. I don’t want to hurt a business.
That being said today’s lunch was pretty disappointing. Let me articulate why I have this opinion. Note I have only eaten here once and mistakes happen so take my experience with a grain of salt, but know I mean no malice.
I ordered fettuccini shrimp Alfredo, lunch portion. Total bill without tip: $23.24
Service was very polite and gracious. 5 stars.
Pros: The sauce was well done.
Cons: Only 3 shrimp were included in the meal. The shrimp had the tails left on and I had to dig into the sauce to separate the tails. The bread was delivered but no table bread dipping oil. I don’t believe the pasta was stirred. I counted 3 separate bites that had double pasta where the fettuccine was stuck together and was not al dente.
I understand mistakes happen but for my first experience I was genuinely discouraged.
Lastly… the men’s bathroom sink water was little more than a trickle and never actually reached hot before I just gave up.
Again, server was great, the people and atmosphere were totally clean and great. The problem I experienced was definitely specific to...
Read moreI thought with a 4 star rating this place would be very good....not so. I won't ding the waitress so much because I think maybe she was new was very polite/apologetic. However, the rest there is NO excuse for. The pizza was nothing to get excited about, just OK. But the desserts (of all things!) is where things really take a nose dive. The coffee was good but the canoli''s were horrible. One bite in and we were ready to hurl! Tasted like sour milk! Waitress apologized and brought out tarimusu. It was literally the most disgusting dessert we've ever eaten! It tasted like bad freezer burn and old coffee! Ewwww! We weren't charged for the desserts since they were inedible. But when we went to pay we were charged full price then when we told them they couldn't reverse the charge and we're trying frantically to charge the right amount, to no avail. Finally the manager (which i was surprised to see chinese owners and management in an "authentic" Italian restaurant!) told us to just go (no charge for meal). The charge was pending for few days but did drop off. That definitely made it burn a little less but we were still...
