UPDATE 15 April 2024.
There has been a big turn-around for this business. We gave them another try after hearing several locals tell us they had a new cook and the food had improved.
Walking in I could tell immediately that the quality had improved. The food was 100 times better than our last 2 visits, and has now returned and actually surpassed how it was the first time we got take out from there.
Our food was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and fresh as opposed to my last visit in early 2023.
Place is clean and staff very friendly.
I can now safely recommend K-Wok again as my favorite take-out for Chinese food in the Martinsville / Ridgeway area. Great job guys.
This is an update on recent visit to K-Wok. We have not been to K-Wok in a few months, and our previous rating was 5-Star with really great food.
However, our last visit has seen a sharp decline in the food. We had a moldy taste in our Shrimp Fried Rice, my wife actually got sick, and I found moldy onion that had been cooked into the food, along with spoiled shrimp. The beef sticks were dried out and over cooked, can the egg rolls were lack luster at best, where as they had the best the last time we had gotten an order there.
We were really shocked that the food has gone so far down hill. I left my previous review below for comparison. However, I can no longer recommend K-Wok at this time.
Took a chance today on trying K Wok after reading reviews that are mostly positive.
Have to say, really polite and friendly, good price and honestly it was the best American style Chinese food I have had, and I’ve eaten in places from Florida to Maine.
Their Egg Rolls are not stuffed with shredded cabbage like other places, they are full of other ingredients and very filling.
We had the Family Meal of Beef & Broccoli, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Steamed Dumplings and Egg Rolls with a Qt of Rice, and every bit of it was delicious.
Not sure why others had bad experiences there, but mine was nothing but positive.
Great food, good prices,...
Read moreOur usual place for Chinese food is closed. That leaves pretty much just this place in our town. This was our 1st time ordering. Food was great! We ordered General Tso's, moo goo gai pan, sweet & sour chicken and crab Rangoon. The only issue we had was there didn't seem to be any crab in the Rangoon. I think we got cream cheese wontons by mistake. But they were good.
We ordered take out so I can't speak for the service or the atmosphere too much. My husband went and picked it up. Food was ready when hubby got there.
They have a family dinner thing on the menu. It's 4 items for a certain price. That's what we ordered. We all really enjoyed the food. It...
Read moreI had been sketched out about this place because I saw a review that said the chicken was grey, but I finally decided to try it. The crab rangoons were very good. However the General Tso chicken had almost zero flavor, and after just ONE piece of the chicken, I discovered a piece of a metal scrub pad. METAL. IN MY FOOD THAT I SHARE WITH MY DAUGHTER. I went back to the restaurant and the owner offered me a replacement meal with a free egg roll. I requested a refund and she gave me $13 on my $11.25 meal. She was very apologetic, but I can't look past the fact that my daughter almost choked on a...
