Unfortunately the worst experience at a restaurant that my family has ever had....
My family and some friends of ours dined here a while ago. Pizza was good, however our server Xiomara made the experience and our night pretty terrible. She took our order, never checked on us again, was nowhere to be found until our order came out almost an hour later. We never got refills on drinks, extra napkins we needed or anything. Never gave us updates on our food that took so long though we could see they were busy.
My husband tipped 10% of our party's large bill due to bad service. On the way out Xiomara found us, stopped us before we left and confronted us about the tip amount! She was angry and extremely confrontational. My husband explained to her that she never checked on us. She even used explicatives in front of my children before she stormed off calling us names.
I called management the next day and explained what happened. The gentleman I spoke with was very sympathetic and said the district manager would be calling me back and that they wanted to give me a gift card for the bad experience. I thought it could be worth giving them another try so I accepted. I never received a call from the DM or the gift certificate sent to my email as promised.
I've worked in the restaurant industry for years and find it hard to understand such poor HR judgement of character in hiring servers that could act this way. Very disappointed in the lack of follow through by...
Read moreNot a single bad thing to say about this place. The menu is extensive, and the cooks have mastered each dish. There is so much complexity and flavor in the food, you’ll never be disappointed with an order. The drinks are plenty as well, with a large retail section of craft beer and a rotating draft list that has something for everyone. Service is always accompanied with a smile. Some fan favorites are the baked chicken pesto pasta, the Phoenix sandwich, the layered bean dip, and the creamsicle milkshake. I could talk about all of these treats and more - but the take away is that lost dog has it all!
Edit: it’s been a couple of years since I’ve been back but I dined in today for lunch. I lowered my S/O’s expectations hard on this place, saying that it was probably only good in my memory because of how many college nights I spent ordering from here. BUT, I’m happy to say my review stands. Everything we ordered was super yummy. We had the bulldog and the braucus pizza and wowza it was all chock full of flavor. Beer was great, as always. So glad Lost Dog has held up over the years. I...
Read moreReally wanted to like this place given their mission and the positive reviews, but it seems they may be beginning to rest on their laurels so to speak. Arrived and were seated by the host promptly, but after our waitress arrived a few minutes later, we were told to move to a different table due to a larger party that was apparently arriving shortly. Odd, but we didn’t mind much and moved. We briefly reviewed the drink menu - $7 to $9 for all beers offered, no real price variation despite a range of brands and quality... I understand the need to turn a profit, but the motivation behind that pricing is pretty blatant. Needless to say, we stuck with water for lunch. Food was okay to good, service was average to slow despite not many other customers. Oh, and that larger party never arrived - not sure it ever existed! Odd. May return,...
