This store is great for buying; great prices. However, for consigning, I would go elsewhere. They accept only very trendy things from the last year or two (according to the woman). I brought in a pair of Valentino jeans, 2 St. Johns blazers, 2 vintage Anthropologie tops, and many other higher-end clothing. All of my clothes are great closet staples, standard things everyone should have in their closets (such as plain blazers with gorgeous gold or silver buttons). They have stood the test of time and I promise I'm not "unstylish;" I get all of my clothes are Bloomies and Nordstrom. Yup, they didn't take anything from that pile. I brought in the max of 25 items and drove 40 minutes to get there. They didn't take one item. It was very bizarre because these are things people still wear (again, non-trendy pieces that are not out of style). Like a good, long black coat. A beautiful red wool blazer. Basic stuff that are higher-end. None of them passed muster. One of my tops was a brand that was on their list of brands they don't accept. I walked over to one of the racks, literally pulled out a shirt of the very brand the website (and she) said they don't accept. Additionally, they had a handful of dated brands, brands that I know don't exist anymore. I can't remember the name of it but this particular brand has not in production for over 10 years, I know the item was old and not trendy. Yet, they had this brand at the store that very day.
It's confusing, very inconsistent. And the women who work there aren't particularly friendly. I have been taking my stuff to Mint Condition and Current Boutique for years. They have always taken at least half of my piles. I'll be...
Read moreThis is the worst place Iâve ever gone to consign. The woman who run it are the most rude and condescending people. They treat the consigners with no respect and go back on what they say whenever the feel like it. They have no care for the consignerâs time telling them to come back the very next day with the same items because they donât want to have to stay late to process them. When I returned the next day half the things they told me to bring back they wouldnât take. They reprimanded me for not laying the clothes out perfectly the way they wanted and then made snide remarks about it the next day when I came back. Then after taking items they emailed me and told me to come in 72 hours to pickup multiple items they had taken due to them being in bad condition, even though they chose to take them, or else they would get rid of them. The items in question had been worn twice. Do not consign here, you will be treated in a way that is unacceptable. I think they forget that their shop doesnât run without consigners bringing them clothes. Go to Current Boutique 10 minutes down the street, they take cuter clothes and the girls are so sweet. They donât take advantage and push around...
Read moreWonât ever come back. Not super friendly and I will get better deals online then for their used clothing they are trying to sell you for like new prices. More importantly, they have a store for womenâs clothing and for children, yet as a third trimester pregnant lady who just drove a long time to come to their store⌠I was denied using the bathroom. I was told it doesnât work really well and I can walk across the street to the library. Where do your employees go? I am sure in the bathroom in the store. Again let me repeatâŚ. Third trimester pregnant lady was asking?! Kindness goes a long way sometimes. I needed to go to the bathroom. This was a bit of an exception, not someone who was taking advantage of a non-public restroom, but as you will see from other reviewsâŚ. A lack of self awareness and rudeness is kinda their thing.. Headed to Lemon Lane to see what deals they have and shocker⌠have a bathroom and were willing to...
