Summary: If I could give zero stars, I would. The list of issues is as follows: Raw burger. Missing items, TWICE. Trying to give us the wrong order, TWICE. Trying to give our order to the wrong people. Drive through staff are poorly trained. The list could continue, but those are the main points.
Ok, now we'll go ahead and give a thorough run down gettin the beginning. We pull up to the drive through with an incomplete order on the screen. Can't see the menu so we try to talk to the drive through attendant to reset the screen. It takes several minutes to for her to respond and clear the screen. Ok, no biggie. We order our food and drive around. We pull around and pay at the first window, get our receipt, then pull up to the second window to get our food. As soon as we pull up to the second window, this lady is trying to hand us soft serve ice cream cones that we didn't even order. After we tell her we didn't order the ice cream she turns back inside and drops them on the floor. We inform them of our order and receive part of it. I check my order after getting a "have a nice day" from the employee, I knew there was no way my whole order fit into 1 bag. Found which of my items were missing and let them know. They then asked me to pull into a parking spot and they would bring it out. About 5 minutes goes by and we see an employee coming out of the building with a bag, coming straight towards us. We get the bag, I open it up and instant realize that this is another wrong order. I catch her attention before she makes it back into the store and give her the bag back, after which she takes it to a different car that was waiting for their food. A few more minutes go by and another car pulls in a few spots from us just before a different lady is bringing a bag out. This bag is taken to the new car. Then it's delivered to us. At this point, I am so fed up with the ineptitude of this store's employees I don't even bother checking the contents. Once home, I'm giving food out it's then that we realize that we're missing the mcnuggets. Once everybody has settled down and they have had the chance to start eating, yet another issue is discovered... extremely undercooked burger (Picture attached.) Corporate will be contacted...
Read moreWhen I first walked in, I didn't think this this place was so bad. "Not too bad for a McDonald's" I say to my family. How naive of me... We had to wipe down the tables just to eat. This would begin to change the longer I stayed here. After they gave half of my order, I waited for 15 minutes before asking them to give me the rest. I had to ask 4 times for my order, and the employees ignored me 3 times. The employees such a had a brain dead look on their faces every time I asked. All I asked them for was a miIk. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they all ate cigarettes and other drugs for their lunch break snack. Then, I had the misfortune of discovering the bathroom. The bathroom had a soiled and fermented underwear left to fester for days. I could tell by the swarms and swarms of flies. This was the only stall in the bathroom. The whole floor had an audible squish with every step. My burger looked undercooked and was lukewarm and didn't even have bacon, and my mom's burger bun was rock hard. I doubt that the food here is even safe to eat, and I hope the FDA investigates this rotten place. Don't go here, I bet you would be much better off using the Burger King drive thru next door because this McDonald's and all of its slacking, smoking, zombie "workers" make this sickly place a waking nightmare. This is by far the worst McDonald's I've ever suffered through and I was NOT MClovin' it one bit. But hey, at least it makes for a good...
Read moreOverall all of the McDonald’s I have visited in Sandston have been rather decent both in terms of the food quality, cleanliness, and staff friendliness.
I hate to preface it with this, however: For a fast food restaurant of comparable rank, this McDonald’s is one of the better ones in greater RVA area — certainly one of the top ones in terms of design, in terms of food — none of my orders have had any major issues worthy to mention, especially since upon bringing any minor error to the attention of the staff resulted in its prompt and adequate resolution. This is one of the two McDonald’s locations I frequent in — spending long hours, and sometimes getting all of my meals from. I work remotely and it’s quite convenient to have many things I may ‘need’ during work hours so readily and quickly available to me, while having much fewer distractions compared to what I would have at home.
Most staff members are doing their best day in and day out and it’s heartwarming to see (as well as motivating to do the same). A few seem a tad too moody most of the time I remember them, but maybe that’s just an unlucky coincidence that I met them only at their ‘bad days.’ (: (Afterall, we all have some of those happening every once in a...
