Update 2024: it's been several years since my original review, and it all depends on the staff. The staff is quite a bit better these days and I've been coming here more frequently lately. I've left the original review below but it's not really applicable anymore.
Original review: This has to be the worst McDonald's in Williamsburg. It is overrun with flies, looks filthy, the frozen "anything" machines (slushies, lemonades, etc) are always out of order, a majority of the staff do not want you there and openly let you know it with the exception of a few ladies that must keep this place afloat. I have lived here for a long time and this is the most convenient fast food establishment near me, and I've given up on it. They seem to delight in leaving items out of drive through orders, so if you do go, go inside so you can check your order or do not pull away from the window without looking.
The last time I ordered here, I checked with the mobile app to see if the slushy machine was working or not (historically it has told me they are temporarily unavailable). Amazingly it seemed to be working so I ordered one, at which point the employee chewed me out for not knowing it was down still. I asked what they did have and he just pointed at the menu, did not verbally respond. When I ordered, they left out parts of my order. Having been burned here several times, I double checked everything before leaving and noticed. I pointed it out, showed the employee the item on the receipt and where I had paid for it, and the employee simply stated "it's not showing on the screen so you're not getting it. NEXT?" I had to raise my voice which I never do and get another employee to help who examined the order and said "it's right here on the screen, I see it just fine" and finally completed my order. Read moreI try to give a business the benefit of a doubt, and this is my 3rd time trying this location. After today never again all 3 times where horrible and all 3 of the times had the same manager. You never see the same employees though. It's been new people every time.. she is the only thing that is the same, and I completely understand why they can't keep help there.. if she's that rude to customers I can't imagine how she treats the employees... they are not just rude they are racist.. my daughter came alone at first and they thought it was fun to make gun jokes and say things like hold your gun don't shoot me.. and laugh it off and say I'm just joking.. said she can't order sweet tea with a combo.. so she came home and I came up here with her. No problem asking for tea not.. Guess what the difference was between me and my daughter.. I brought it up to the manager and of course she's okay with it and says he just jokes like that.. don't not waist your money on this place. If there's something wrong with your food just ask for your money back because these people are so nasty and rude they just might spit or do something to your food if you simply ask for your food to be correct.. all 3 times have been the...
Read moreThis establishment deserves a zero. The customer service was extremely poor, and the lack of quality control over the food was unacceptable. I ordered through the drive-thru and did not receive several items I paid for. When I returned to address the issue, I was told the items were already in the bag—implying I was mistaken or dishonest. The staff member was rude and completely dismissive.
To make matters worse, I was then handed the wrong item. The fries were carelessly thrown into the bag, with many ending up loose at the bottom. I had to specifically ask for a new bag just to keep things somewhat sanitary. I also did not receive the dipping sauce I ordered.
This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. You’ve lost not just one, but several customers today. If this business wants to improve, here’s some simple advice:
Treat your customers with respect. Arrange food properly in the bag or use separate bags for items like fries. Double-check orders for accuracy before handing them out. Make sure customers get what they pay for. We will not be returning or ordering from this...
