I admit it: I've got a guilty pleasure and it goes by the name of McDonald's. I love, periodically (keep your health and diet in mind, people), getting a fresh, hot order of a quarter pounder with cheese, fresh fries, maybe a splurge on 3-for-a-$1 cookies here, an upcharge for a vanilla milkshake there... from a great McDonald's location.
Now, admittedly, a good fast food experience sometimes depends on the location of the restaurant. Some of my more shameful experiences of McD's meals have, unfortunately, come from poorer areas where everything from customer service to excessive greasiness of the burgers were unjustly exchanged for a few of my dollars and a surcharge of my patience.
This particular McDonald's location, however, has consistently surprised me with a very close 1:1 ratio of "ideal" McDonald's quality (the kind of food you see in advertisements) with what you actually experience when you open the bag and eat. It's not always a picturesque match in visual presentation (the burger buns or patties are sometimes lop-sided) but, this location always seems to get heat and grease levels perfect which, in my omnivorous opinion, is more important.
The burgers here have never been overly greasy, the fries have been just the right level of crispiness, and the sodas and milkshakes have been at the higher end of McDonald's quality (as far as guilty pleasures go in quality, that is). Quality of food here comes highly recommended, so long as you eat your meal as soon after you order it as possible.
In terms of the cleanliness of this location, I've only experienced it as a closed-for-dining/drive-thru only location. Every time I've pulled the door handle, it's been locked (COVID times being what they are). That said, the drive-thru is relatively quick, the orders have been accurate, and the meals delicious.
Lastly, as an awesome money-saving bonus tip, I'd recommend downloading the app for regular coupons or deals for free food or skipping drive-thru lines. Or, if you don't want to do that but enjoy free quarter pounders with cheese (like I do), I encourage you to save your McD's receipts and fill out the quick online surveys to get the promo codes for a B1G1 deal on your next visit!
Like I said, McDonald's is a guilty pleasure for me and this location has been great with drive-thru customer service and food quality. I'd recommend this location over others in the area. Eat fast food responsibly and in moderation (I know, I know, I've got two burgers pictured)! Bring coupons and deals for savings and...
Read moreWhy 5 stars? It's a mc Donald's right? Things can never be always right now! Well its the Mc Donald's location and staff and food quality. The staff is awesome very friendly. The food is mostly made fresh to order and the quality is better then other Mc Donald's. They have a clean restaurant lots of Mc Donald's are just dirty and have ant problems this place doesn't. They support the community and They give military and law enforcement and fire ems discounts and have it posted by the register. The staff is awesome Some are different but in a good way very friendly and kind and talkative and it's awesome mc Donald's supports hiring quality people and younger people and people that are special or special needs it shows the management has good character. The staff has personality and is friendly and is fun to talk too. Again food is better then most McDonald's fresh and hot is a good thing. They have the same issue all McDonald's has in getting your order right but that's sometimes the order system. If you order a sausage mc muffin it comes with cheese but doesn't say cheese on the order and when you add cheddar cheese to it the computer shows sausage McMuffin add cheddar not sausage mc muffin w cheese add cheddar and is why when u order somethings like that they are always and I do mean Always wrong. I order that mc muffin that way at McDonald's all over northern Virginia and it's ALWAYS wrong but it's the computer system mostly not helping the employees understand the order lol my rant on my ALWAYS messed up order at EVERY mc Donald's. As I said everyone location messes that up so I won't hold that against this place. As I have been saying this location is awesome good food, good employees, good management, and ultimately good owners or management with good morals who care. .... I say this as just a regular local fast food regular who can tell when things are way different then most with how things...
Read moreThe employees who have taken my drive through orders usually have difficulty communicating with me due to a language barrier. The food isn't fresh and usually microwaved. I recently ordered a breakfast burrito and because they microwaved it too long the tortilla just stuck to the paper wrapper and I was unable to eat it because it just fell apart and went everywhere making a huge mess. I returned with this messy burrito to get something else and to show the manager there. She was extremely rude and kept telling me that it's supposed to be like this because they microwave them. Only a different occasion i ordered curbside pickup. After placing my order and letting them know which parking spot number I parked in my McDonald's app I waited a good 10 to 15 minutes and not one ever brought my order to me. So I went through the driveway to the pickup window and I saw my order just sitting on the counter already ready. I asked the employee at the window how come no one brought it to me curbside and she just smiled and said something i could not understand because once again there was a language barrier which is pretty inconvenient when trying to communicate with someone. I no longer get my food at this location but I have to drive a little extra to the McDonald's off of Junction Plaza in Ashburn where the food is fresh and easy to eat and the employees are friendly and easy to understand and...
