1⭐️ The food was very good. Service is HORRIBLE. We got it to go at like 6pm on a Saturday. There was only one table seated in the restaurant when I walked in to pickup. I scheduled pickup for 615. I walked in at like 620ish cause I went to the store next door to buy things. They didn’t hand me my food until 635. I told the lady I was there for pickup and she didn’t say anymore to me. No “they’re finishing up now.” Nothing for 15mins. I do not like that, because why order online at all if you’re going to have to wait? I simply don’t understand that. Anyway, I got the carne asada baleada. My husband got a carne asada torta, and they gave us carne asada tacos. And we got caldo de res to share. I only ended up eating one baleada because it was a lot. The food was really good, but the fact that the service was just horrible, and they were absolutely dead on a Saturday night at 6pm says a lot. I did notice there was nothing but Hispanics eating inside. The one table seated was a Hispanic family. A group walked out when I arrived, all Hispanic. And another Hispanic family walked in while I waited, the staff all came out and hugged and greeted them. So that’s always a good sign, when I see a lot of Hispanics eating at Hispanic restaurants it normally means it’s because it’s more authentic. Like I said, the food was very good but I’m unsure about trying them again. If the service was that bad on a dead Saturday night, then I can’t even imagine what it’s like if more than 3 tables are seated in there. I cannot speak on the table service. But I do recommend stopping at the store for sure! They had so many snack I haven’t seen since I lived in Rosarito. So I got a few of course. And for now.. I recommend giving the restaurant a try if you’ve been wanting to. I already gave my heads up about the customer service, or lack there of ✌🏾 Update: My husband really likes this place. So I ONLY go get HIM food here. I DO NOT buy myself food here. THE SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. I got here 20 mins late for my online order again. A man was sitting waiting for his food. He said the woman told him 5 mins, and he’d been waiting for 20 already. So I knew my food was about to take a long time again. Then when he asked where his food was, the lady just said “yes 5 mins.” It wasn’t that they didn’t understand him, I speak Spanish, they knew he just wanted to know how much longer for his food. But they didn’t even want to go and check if his food was done. 20 mins later?! 3 employees just sitting at a table in the empty restaurant, no one wants to help customers. Just close the restaurant if you don’t want to give good service. I had a pickup order for 635pm… I got to the restaurant at 645, and I left at 7pm. Thanks to that guy for complaining tho, I think that’s the only reason my food came...
Read moreWhere do I begin? I had had previous great experiences at this restaurant. The food had always been delicious, and delivered quickly. Today, however, was not the case. When our party of 6 arrived, we were greeted and were sat at our table. It took quite a bit of time for the waitress to come take our drink order. We ordered a round of water, asking for one without ice. Two of us ordered specialty drinks. The Horchata and the Pina were delicious and came quickly. It took another 10 minutes for them to bring us the water, and all of them had ice. Not a huge deal. Then, we began our order. We were all fairly simple orders. One chicken fajita, two chicken burrito bowls, two steak burrito bowls. One person ordered two orders of pupusas, and I ordered one order. It took another 45 minutes for any food to hit the table. The chicken burrito bowls were there, but they were lacking the avocado slices that the menu said came with them. The two steak burrito bowls came out as burrito San Joses, so they were sent back. The fajitas came, but with no tortillas or any other things. One order of pupusas had 3 pupusas, and the other had 2. We asked the waitress why, and she said that one order was 3 pupusas. We thought that maybe she mistook the 2 orders of pupusas for just pupusas. It was frustrating, but we thought we had it all figured out. It took another 10 minutes before our fajitas got the tortillas, and the same amount of time for the steak burrito bowls to show up. We were all just frustrated at this point, and raced to finish our food so that we could get back to work. When we went up to pay, my coworker who only ordered the 2 orders of pupusas was being charged for 6 pupusas, and was going to have to pay $30. We explained that the waitress had told us that it was 3 pupusas an order. There was a language barrier, which thankfully one of our coworkers helped translate, but there was entirely too much back and forth for another mistake. All in all, I was disappointed by this experience. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant that was so slow, and that's even with there not being more than 5 tables of people there. There was little communication, and the orders were wrong. There was no apology or trying to fix the issue. Staff was nice enough, but it was just a poor experience overall, and I will not...
Read moreIt was horrible! I was treated like I was invisible my 1st time eating here I asked for a chimichanga meal and I asked did it come with rice and refried beans and I made sure that the beans didn’t have pork in it she assured me that the beans didn’t have pork in it… the lady barely spoke or understood English so when my food came out it was only one chimichanga with a side of shredded lettuce that was not fresh and no beans or rice she explained that the rice was inside of the chimichanga which I hate! and I didn’t have any silverware she had to go give me some silverware after my plate arrived… all I had was a Mexican Coke bottle and one chimichanga “it was a nice size but soaked in grease” refried beans and rice and dead lettuce came up to $18.14 this is absurd! and I ate 20% of my food because outside of the chimichanga was so greasy… My server lady asked me did I want to get a box I told her no thanks I didn’t like it and asked for my check I proceed to cash out she spoke Spanish to some other big lady which I believe is the manager I don’t know and she asked me what was wrong I told her I do not like it because it’s very greasy like has a grease taste to it and says that’s how chimichangas are made I responded I know how chimichangas are made because it’s my favorite dish I’ve had chimichangas from multiple different Mexican restaurants that one just has a greasy taste to it So I asked her can I at least give me a discount since I ate one 20% of my food she goes on to compares it fried chicken and said no she cannot give me a discount me being a black lady I took offense automatically I said I know how chimichangas taste and I know how fried chicken taste and I know because I eat Mexican food all the time I said is that all you could compare it to is fried chicken? Her response I mean anything fried I was EXTREMELY offended! But fried chicken was her 1st comparison can we say...
