I would have given a 0000000000000000000 star if available. I am new to the area, I thought I would try but being from NY I was hesitant but still tried them out. The ladies that work there are pleasant enough (so i thought), I like my food a certain way, without my request the food would have been mediocre at best. if there was an issue with my request I should have informed that they can not accommodate my request and I would have taken my business elsewhere. The man that sometimes work the front taking orders(owner?) is the worst, he is rude as hell. He is like this because customers allow him to be. I SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS, I would have never patronized. You live and learn. the gentleman that took my order gave me a $ total and when I arrived to pickup my order, he gave a different $ amount and when I questioned him he was beyond rude and told me that "I give problem". This when I learned that even the ladies discussed my request amongst themselves and deemed my requests a problem as well. They are entitled to their opinion but his/their rudeness is not. I will not darkened their threshold again and I caution you to be aware. You have the choice to spend your hard earned $ on food that is of your liking and where you are treated with respect!! BEWARE!!!! It is just a matter of time before you get unacceptable/subpar food along with a taste of their unprofessionalism/rudeness. 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000...

Dirty Dirty Dirty:
I know China Town is not exactly close to Newport News so expectations can’t be set too high.
I arrived to the Ming Garden in Newport News around 10:50 Am.
At 11AM there was NO owner or staff member there to take my order.
I was then forced to stand in the small cluttered overworked space for the owner to arrive around 11:10.
The owner then spilled into the door late with dry saliva or what looked to be like dry food from yesterday on her shirt.
Then she was trying to charge me a “poor peoples tax” for pork-less egg rolls and extra utensils for sharing.
She then threaten to raise the store prices after I made the comment “Are you going to charge me for the chop sticks too?”(First Time Experience)
Her nasty attitude: She has the impression of her Chinese food being God’s gift to Newport News.
When she is actually hitting people over the head with poor people taxes. On top of that her space would be shut down in most markets…

Read moreI wanted Chinese on a Sunday because I was too lazy to cook. Sadly Fu Leen’s Palace is closed on Sunday. So, I tried the next option with the most reviews. I’ll start by saying that I’m from NYC, so I’m picky when it comes to Chinese food. The general tso’s wasn’t too bad. The fried rice didn’t have much flavor. But I specifically asked for the fried wontons NOT to be fried too hard and well, they fried them too darn hard. They were very small too and they were skimpy with the sweet and sour sauce as well.
The driver came to my house and was a little disoriented and not what I expected for a delivery driver. I was confused at first. I had to keep asking why he was at my door via the camera because the food wasn’t visible. He didn’t know my total and told me he had to go back to his car for it and didn’t want to. He kept leaning over and deep sighing. Then kept asking for a tip. It was a weird experience. I’ll...
