Panda Express — Restaurant in Virginia

Very disappointed with my experience here today. For reference, I used to eat Panda Express multiple times a week back in 2020, but have slowed down since then. I always got the plate with half rice and half super greens with double Beijing beef. It was always enough food and very filling. They SHOULD be putting the sides on the 2 smaller portions of the plate, while using the 1 big one for the entrees. They have always done this at every panda I’ve gone to in the country. But today, being my first time eating panda in about a year, they did the complete opposite and gave me the tiniest portions of my main entree and the sides on the bigger side of the plate. Which I waited an extra 10 minutes for. It’s completely ridiculous and is obviously skimping you out for your money’s worth. They went up in pricing too. For this experience I probably could’ve just gone to a real Chinese place where they fill you up decently. So many of us consumers have been affected by the recession and it’s getting so hard to enjoy the simple things like even Panda Express without being heavily cheapened out. And to top it all off, the food was just plain bad lol…. I won’t be eating here anymore. Either management or the franchise as a whole needs to stop this and consider their costumers more.

Update: Now employees must ask the manager for permission before giving customers extra utensils… she almost denied me gave up. She didn’t want to give...

I recently visited this Panda Express, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I usually frequent the one on the base, which consistently delivers high-quality food. I decided to try this other location, expecting it to be even better, but that was not the case.

At the base location, the spicy orange chicken is perfectly cooked with a balanced sauce. However, at this Panda Express, the spicy orange chicken was tough and hard to eat. It lacked the expected flavor, tasting more like plain spicy sauce on chicken rather than the delicious, balanced dish I usually enjoy.

The white rice was also disappointing and didn't feel like it was prepared properly, which was surprising given that it’s typically made using a simple rice cooker.

On a positive note, the cleanliness of the place was pretty good, and the staff I interacted with were nice and thorough. They made sure I got everything I needed, like utensils, and confirmed my order preferences.

Despite the good service and clean environment, the quality of the food was not up to par. Given my positive experiences with the base location, this visit was a letdown. I hope this feedback helps improve the quality at this...

Ahhhh I love Panda Express! This one especially. You get a nice warm greeting. They are always ready to serve! They automatically give me my military discount when they see me! One less process to go through. Their food is always fresh! Bathrooms always clean and so is the rest of the place.

I would really wanted to write this review for all the people who have been trolling this place. I'm Not sure why someone would write a review and focus it on a tiny part of the restaurant. This person decided to write a whole review about their experience going to the bathroom. Then give it a 1 Star? What's the point of that? Panda Express is a consistent and very delicious franchise. If you come at the right times everything is hot and ready. Don't come on off peak hours and expect to get a hot meal. Do you go to Popeyes I'm off peak hours? If you do you're shooting yourself in the foot. Go when turn over is high so you can assure you get the freshest possible dish. It's just the nature of this type of fast...
