First of all I want to say that I had no complaints about Pho Banh Mi & Grill. I was introduced to Pho by my best friend. Once I experienced Pho, I fell in love with it. I can still remember when Grub Hub delivered the Pho for the first time to my front door. It smelled so good and the taste, well I wasn’t disappointed. I was in love. The following week, I drove there to pick up another order of pho. Then later I ordered by Grub Hub again. It was such a wonderful experience. But now my one star rating is not about their food, but how the restaurant treated me, their customer service. Okay, so there was a mixup when we ordered today through Grub Hub. For some reason their app did not use my address, but the address of Pho Banh. My friend and I tried to correct it three times on the app, but it wouldn’t let us. So we entered my address in the instructions box. So in the meantime we are waiting for our pho to be delivered only to get a call from the delivery guy telling us he can’t deliver our food that we have already paid for and that it wasn’t right. We had no idea what he was talking about. So we call Grub Hub customer service and explained what had happened. He was of no help, so we asked to speak to his supervisor. The issue was resolved. So my friend put in another order at Pho Banh and they canceled our order. Now, here is the kicker and my rating for the restaurant. When I call, I started out explaining my reason for the call and the guy hung up on me. Yes, hung up on me! All I wanted to know was why did they refuse our order, that’s all. So I called back and the restaurant would not even pick up. To me this was very rude and unprofessional. I did not complain about the restaurant at all, I complained about the delivery guy, unless he is connected to the restaurant. I have never been treated like this ever in my life. And as much as I love their pho, I won’t ever order from them again. What has happened to customer service? Sir, I did not appreciate you hanging up on me. You were very rude and unprofessional and did not care to even about serving me, the customer. Shame on you!!!! I grew with “the customer is always right”. This was a very traumatic experience for both me and my friend. We were very traumatized by the...
Read moreI stumbled upon this place accidentally. This used to be my all time favorite Thai restaurant and to my surprise, it is now a Pho place. They have painted it and removed some wall partitions so it looks bigger. It looks and feels cleaner there is ample free parking and the staff was very kind and friendly. The vegetarian soup was very good. I was surprised that they had a veggie broth option as most places dont. Thay would have been a deal breaker for me. I was amazed at how flavorful the soup was. The prices are a bit high which is why I am not giving it 5 stars. The soup is usually $8.95 and it was $10.50. Their fresh summer rolls are $4.50 when I usually pay $3.95 and they are much smaller than where I usually get them which is closer to my home. I noticed most of the food was in the high teens price range with $18.50 dominating the menu. It is not an upscale restaurant in any sense of the word nor is it in an upscale neighborhood. I would suggest management review their prices or they may be next to go. The Thai place I loved there had recently changed owners, the new owners increased the price and staffing changed so the food was not as good and out of nowhere...
Read moreDo yourself a favor and skip this place. Even after paying extra for a double portion of protein, the amount I got would have been disappointing even if I hadn’t specifically requested and paid for extra. Additionally, all the meat came pre-boiled and way overcooked which I’ve never seen at an authentic pho place. It’s possible that this is how they do their carry out to ensure food safety but this was still a first for me. ALL of the vegetables that came with the pho and in the spring rolls were slimy and definitely not fresh. Pho was served with a single slice of jalapeño that was actually just the top of a pepper (with the stem) lopped off and tossed in there- no seeds and no flavor rendered. Also, I only got one half of a single slice of lime. I will say that the broth was surprisingly rich and flavorful; it was under salted but this is easy enough to fix at home. The boba smoothie was also pretty tasty. Overall, a disappointing experience. I felt like I paid a premium for food without any heart at all and that everything was done as cheaply as possible without any regard for customer experience...
