Update 1/21/22: Wow, Ricco’s really let me down tonight and I’m editing my original 5 star review with this updated 3 star review. I placed an order for delivery at 5:50 PM and was told it would be 50 minutes. That would be 6:40 but, it’s Friday night so I figured it would probably arrive closer to 7. At 7:30, no food. I called and was told that the ticket failed to print when my order was entered and, therefore, never made it back to the kitchen. They said they had realized it 25 minutes before my call and that my order was on the way. I’m still trying to figure out why no one called me because, at the time when the mistake was realized, I should have already had my order. It finally arrived at 7:50, over two hours after I placed the order and 1 hour and 10 minutes after it was promised. When I opened the door, the delivery guy informed me that he had some bad news. First, he told me that he dropped my soda in the driveway. I told him I didn’t order any soda and he said “Oh, well they sent it because of the mess up with your order.” Um…okay. Second, he told me that I was .6 miles out of their delivery zone. He explained that my house is 6.6 miles from the restaurant and that they only deliver 6 miles out. I told him that was very interesting because this was at least their 5th time delivering to our house. I also told him that their website says they deliver 6 miles out to locations in the 22554 zip code and 7 miles to locations in the 22556 zip code. We are 22556, which is why they have delivered to us in the past with no problems. At that point, he continued to insist that we were not in their 6 mile delivery zone so I just told him to check out the website because it says that we are. I have to say that at this point I was in no mood to argue with the guy about whether or not we qualify for delivery when my order was over an hour late and no one bothered to call me about it. I was also not offered any discounts or even a simple coupon to use on my next order, which really goes a long way when a mistake is made. And, even if he hadn’t dropped the soda in my driveway, I wouldn’t have felt compensated because we don’t drink soda anyway. The only saving grace was that the food was absolutely delicious, as always, but, they need to work on their customer service for sure.
Original review 4 months earlier w/ 5 star rating: Tried this place a few months ago and it has definitely improved since then. Ate there last night for the second time in a week. First time we did takeout and last night we ate in the restaurant with a large party. Food was excellent both times. Their strombolis are huge and delicious, packed with ingredients and easily feed 2 to 3 people. Caesar salad is also a good size and we were able to share two salads with the whole table. Wings were jumbo sized and offered in several flavors. Our faves were buffalo and garlic Parmesan. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Pizza crust is cooked perfectly and flavor was on point. Excited to have this place...
Read moreI gave three stars for a two star restaraunt because the pizza is very good. This is a NEW restaurant so I think they are still working the kinks out.
PIZZA IS VERY GOOD.
I'm not typically a big complainer but I actually sent the spaghetti with meat sauce back it was unbelievably bland and the sauce seemed to be nothing but crushed tomatoes right out of a can, (the meat seemed to be added later and not cooked into the sauce) definately not worth the calories.
I told the waiter, "I would imagine the chef would want feedback in a restaurant this new". Apparently he didn't because no one came out to talk to me and they even CHARGED ME for a dish that I literally took one bite of and sent back. I suppose that COULD be the fault of a very young very green server, (kudos to them for giving these young kids a job)
We were a table of 8 so I can say with pretty good authority that the recipes need some work. The sauces taste very "out of a can" and the sandwiches are very light on meat.
For a restaurant this small I think Pi's place has a ton of potential, the pizza is very good and that to me is the biggest thing.
I think they need to make a good tomato sauce (which is the base of so much Italian food) and let it simmer all day. That would help 50% of their dishes.
I hope if they read this that my feedback is helpful. I am a big believer in giving restaurants a chance to evolve and again, the pizza was very good. I would say the best I've had...
Read moreWe went to try this today. We were very excited. We ordered the personal pizza so we could all try and loved it. Then I ordered a steak and cheese, which was good! Somebody else ordered a hot veggie sub, it came out cold. And somebody else ordered the Sunday special... gnocchi and sauce, which came out cold and way over cooked. I called the waitress over and told her the gnocchi was cold and over cooked and we didn’t want it, so we sent it back. The veggie sub was cold and we said we would just keep it and it was fine but wanted her to know. When the check came we were still charged for the gnocchi. When I asked her about this, she said the owner said she couldn’t take it off the check, I said but it was cold and overcooked, she said she’ll ask again. She also said that when you order a hot sub, that only means the bread is toasted, not that it’s hot. What?!? Another waitress came back to bring us our check because our waitress was too upset, again the OWNER said to leave the gnocchi on the check. We told her it was NOT our waitresses fault. It was beyond ridiculous. We will never go back again. I thought it was absolutely horrible the owner or at least a manager didn’t come out when two of our orders were...
