🚨‼️‼️Worst business!!!!‼️‼️🚨 I frequented this "business" once about 5 years ago. I was in town last week, and dined in with my sister. We cut our fast and the girl helping us seemed nice and gave a sample of noodles to break our fast i didn't finish my fired so i took them home, which is over an hour away. My 9 year old daughter had my Leftovers, And said she liked the fries. I decided to go again with her a couple of days ago and drive an hour away just to let her have them fresh for herself, as well as try the other food. Halfway through our drive I called to specifically ask about dine in hours, which closed at 9:30. He kept pushing me to take my order over The phone and he kept asking what I wanted. I told him I wanted gyros and seasoned tries, but I I kept telling him l'd order fresh at the store as We live over an hour away. I even CALLED BACK to reiterate I would be ordering when I arrive so we could enjoy our fresh food in the car. We Arrived at around 9:35 and when I went to order he said he already made my order, which he said were "beef bowls" and seasoned fried . I was baffled because not only didn't order "beef bowls", but I told him multiple times I would be placing my order when I arrive for fresh food. WHY WOULD I DRIVE OVER AN HOUR AT NIGHT WITH A 9 YEAR OLD FOR food/fries that's been sitting for over 30 mins?! He had an awkward exchange of him accusing me of making an incorrect order. I said I never made mention of bowls, and I kept telling him I 1 mentioned numbers times I would place my order in store. He admitted that I indeed did say that when he realized I wasn't backing down. I noticed the food was off to the side and he kept looking back at me, so it became clear to me that they made it after I called about the store hours. We left to eat in the car, and the chicken in my kabob was cold. I looked past that to be honest. we immediately noticed the fries were barely warm And seemed stale/ not fresh at all. Mind you, the fries were the MAIN reason we came. I chalked it up to they took the fries made when I first called and didn't care to remake them fresh after their mistake. I came in to politely request fresh fries. The owner (I think) put his hand in the bag, pulled fries out with his fingers and started yelling that they were perfect fries and that I insulted him?!!!! He started berating me and my daughter. Не angrily slammed the fries in the trash and said more belittling things, and in my shock I kept saying this is so unprofessional!! He said he didn't care and aggressive pulled cash from register and said he wouldn't fix it and go away. I was sooo shocked!!!! | even mentioned I live over an hour away, and he literally said I don't care. I would warn everyone about this place. What a horrible way to treat people, especially during Ramadan! Sad!!! I even took a video of him going off and I will post that they also used their bare hands to make the food and touched many things in between but I guess that's the least of the issues that...
Read moreMy family and I used to go to this restaurant a lot. It is family owned and when the owners(older Afghan man and woman not the younger guy because he is not as good) used to be there all the time the service and quality and quantity of food was excellent. I noticed that when the owners are not there and the restaurant is left in care of the three or four Spanish guys everything deteriorated. I kept coming in and getting less and less food for the same price. When I mentioned it the shorter Spanish guy told me to go elsewhere if I didn’t like it. He was EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL. I was polite and didn’t disrespect him. Needless to say I will never go back there nor will any member of my family. We now go to Kabob Palace right at the intersection of little river and buela road right across from the gas station. It is their loss. Why should I pay $10 for a sandwich that is all lettuce onions and tomatoes and be disrespected on top of that! Don’t waste your money. Go to Kabob Palace right across the street. It is MUCH BETTER and for $12 you get a full Kabob meal with rice and a side and bread as opposed to the $10 for lettuce and onion and tomato with a side of dry gyro meat and a disrespectful little Spanish guy with a gold tooth who has fooled the female owner into trusting him with her store. He is going to put them out...
Read moreI visited Halal Kabab House with a group of friends, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The lady at the counter, who seemed to be the owner, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Her attitude was far from what I’ve experienced with other Afghan establishments, where hospitality and friendliness are the norms.
After placing our order and choosing different items from the menu, we planned to dine in. However, we were shocked when she told us that the tables had already been cleaned for the next day and that we couldn’t sit there. Instead, she insisted we take our food to go. This made no sense to us since we had just paid for our meals and should have been able to enjoy them comfortably inside, not outside on the street.
Her behavior left us feeling disrespected, so we decided to cancel our orders and leave. I highly recommend visiting other nearby Afghan restaurants, where you’ll likely receive better service and the hospitality you expect for your money. I will not be returning...
