Upon initially walking into the establishment, you definitely get the sports vibes. It's an open space with a long bar and lots of TVs displaying various games. Almost has a country feel to it as the design is of wood aesthetic.
I, along with the woman I was with received a lot of stares upon walk-in. Idk if it was a compliment type of stares or if we didn't look like we "fit in" with the rest of the crowd. We were meeting a few others who arrived before us and were already seated in the side room. We had to walk through to the back of the main room and turn to the right into the side room. The main room was full of people who were not my skin color. Then once we got to the side room, aside from those whom I was meeting with, there were 2 other individuals (males) who were the same skin color as me so it felt a bit segregated. Although, I'd like to note that those individuals could have asked to be seated there. I'm just speaking on what I observed.
Nonetheless, I felt safe, but it is something significant to note in this day and age. We actually had a few people from the main room come to the side room (to use the bathroom) who chatted with us and gave out some compliments as well. This made the atmosphere feel more inclusive and welcoming.
The waitress was good. No complaints whatsoever. There was never a time we had to look for her or wait an extended period of time before we seen her again. She was on point with her timing. She also memorized our orders which is not a skill everyone utilizes. The menu is FULL of options so I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to try considering I prefer and usually eat non-dairy and healthy options as much as possible. I chose my order based off of my waitress' recommendation. I wish I could remember her name!
The food was good and fulfilling. I got the roasted turkey club sandwich and substituted my fries for a Caesar salad. Although it was good, the turkey was roasted (or cooked) deli slices. I also tried the appetizer platter that has mozzarella sticks, jalapeños poppers, fried pickle and chicken tenders. No complaints! It was my first time eating fried pickles. It definitely caught me off guard. It was good, but now I wonder how fried bread and butter pickles would taste! Lols!
Last, but not least, Drinks! I tried the peach drink on the cocktail menu which contained rum, I believe. I cannot remember the name of the drink itself. It wasn't my favorite as it tasted watered down. The peach flavor wasn't truly present so it just felt like I was drinking watery juice--and not in a way where the alcohol is masked and the drink itself tastes like juice. Then I tried the Tennessee Honey Fizz...HUGE DIFFERENCE! This drink contained whiskey. You can most definitely feel the drink and it had a punch of flavor. 10/10 recommend this drink if you like strong drinks!
We had a good time. We left with to-go food and drinks. All in all, I'm not against...
Read moreI only gave it a star because you can't comment without one. I would give it negative stars if I could. My husband and I went there for lunch today. We were seated and provided our order within being for five minutes. We received our drinks shortly after that. After waiting approximately 30 minutes for chili dogs and tater tots, I went inside to ask our waitress to box our food to go and provide the check. Simultaneously, a woman (who later identified herself as the owner) walked by me with our lunches. I also told her to box up the food because we were out of time. She proceeded to say to me "if you are in a hurry, then next time call in your order". Her tone was very unprofessional, the comment was un-called for and it was very offensive. I asked the waitress to speak to a manger about the comment. After bringing out the to-go boxes, the same lady who identified herself as the owner wanted to try to explain to me that she didn't feel her comment was offensive. I told her it was very offensive because of her tone and it was uncalled for. I tried to comment about the wait time for the food to come out and she wanted to argue with me about what time we came in the restaurant. I told her I didn't wan to talk to her, paid for my food and left. Even though the comment angered me, I made sure my tone of voice remain lowered as not to cause a scene. My husband told me as I walked away, she appeared to follow me out of the restaurant until she saw him, at which point she turned and went back the other direction. Follow me for what? I paid for my food. What kind of business owner argues with the customer? Needless to say, I will never spend another dime in this restaurant. This isn't the first time we have had to take our food to go because we had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for our food to come out. We work nearby (less than a five minute drive) and only have an hour for lunch. I feel a restaurant that close should be able to accommodate an hour lunch without us having to rush back so as not to be late. Ridiculous,...
Read moreWe called in a to-go order and was told they were out of wings. Then we were told it would be over a hour before our food would be ready! My husband goes to get the food. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap with the chicken on the side and extra rice in the wrap. I do this because the chicken they use is the lowest of the low! Full of black chunks and gristle! I open my box and there is no rice in one side of the wrap and a very small amount In the other side! I called and spoke with Dan. I tell him this is the fourth time this has happen! He assures me he will make it himself! I go back get my new wrap get home and guess what??? Now there is no buffalo sauce in my buffalo wrap! I call again and Dan said "I told them how to make it!" Well Dan you told me you would personally make! You did not! And you would think being the manager and only a handful of people in the place he would have at least checked it to make sure it was done correctly! He did not! Maybe standing behind the bar and chatting is what he gets paid for???? We will not eat here again! Cheap food they get from food lion and horrible horrible customer service! If I could give them zero...
