I don’t normally do reviews but I think I need to share this. I stopped in the afternoon at this one and it looked nice and clean outside and inside. There were customers but there was no one before me. I was greeted by the staff and already felt great.
However, things happened when I started ordering. I litterally pulled out my phone to show the lady the recipe to make it correctly. It was actually very simple: 4 shots of espresso + venti cup + 2 pumps brown sugar syrup + extra ice + EXTRA OATMILK. That’s it. No stir, no shake needed. It took her several glance to get the recipe. She told me to get the Shaken Espresso instead, “it’s the same.” Of course, I confirmed “it’s not the same” -.- I tried it before and that how I adjusted it to fit my taste better. I litterally saw her punched in Almond milk instead so I told her second time, I dont want almond milk, I want oatmilk and tried to show her the recipe again. She said she got it. Okay. She also told the barista don’t shake it because that’s how I like it. I never asked or mentioned about shaking it, oh well, whatever. Then there we go, the barista poured in the ALMOND MILK.
I have to ask again, I did mentioned twice that I don’t want almond milk. I want oatmilk. She made me another one and left a big room in my cup. Other Starbucks stores either add more ice or add more oatmilk to fill it up. Or simply confirm how I would like it. I don’t want to ask again so I just left.
My recipe was simple. You can’t make it wrong. You just can’t. Especially when I already showed it to you. Imagine if people came with crazier requests.

Was visiting Vienna on a business trip in early November. Wanted something other than the bland catered coffee from the hotel. Found this location one block from my hotel. Came in, there was a HUGE line of people at the door but not waiting to order, waiting for their order to complete. Red flag for me. I was worried it would take 15 minutes to get a pour of Pike Place. Nah. They were great. I ordered my standard Venti Pike Place ... here's the catch... WITH ROOM! (Right? I wanted to put my own sugar and cream in). The barista was super confused when I said "with room." They asked if I want cream or sugar with my coffee. I told them I would do it on my own, politely, and thanked them. Now I understood why. I don't know if this is a Virginia spin off that makes Virginia yet another reason to never live, but they don't have "ala carte" sugar packets or creamer... like every other Starbucks I've been to in this world (INCLUDING ALL OF FRANCE!... literally, the world!) So, after the line died down and my drink cooled a little, I walked back up to the barista and asked for some cream and sugar and explained MY confusion.
Come to find out and after some research, apparently Starbucks is slowly and quietly taking away their "condiment bar" in all locations making it to where if you want cream and sugar, you have to ask for it when ordering and watch them rip off the sugar packets and little creamers. Oh well.

Read moreI am an older woman with incontinent issues. I came into the store in an emergency situation. I asked if I could have the code for the restroom and I was told that I needed to purchase something to use the restroom. I had no problem with this at all. I asked if I could use the restroom then make my purchase. I was told no I had to go somewhere else or make my purchase first. I believe that it was the district manager and store manager that was sitting at the table telling me this. I just can't believe that the management here could be so harsh and have no consideration for others. This policy is needed to keep the homeless from using the facilities or people just walking in and out. I have worked at such a place that had this policy so I understand it, but I didn't look like I was homeless neither did I say I wouldn't purchase anything I just needed to go to the restroom first. If this is the way that the management treats guests at this location I can imagine how the staff treats them. As I have always known is that the management are to set the example for the staff to follow. To make sure that this reflects the actions of the correct employees it was a black woman with an African accent (not in uniform)and a heavy set white lady with glasses ( in uniform).
