I wouldn’t even give one star for the experience I had this morning. I had committed to getting a coffee traveler for my toddler’s daycare teachers, and unfortunately, it turned into a very frustrating experience.
When I placed the order, the staff member seemed quite new and repeatedly had to seek help from others to process it. I was told there were two coffee travelers ahead of mine, which I completely understood and was willing to wait for.
However, after 10 minutes, they began preparing my order, and due to a lack of attention, the coffee spilled everywhere. They discarded that traveler and restarted the process, but very slowly. When I politely asked how much longer it might take, I was met with a rude response: instead of an apology, I was told, “If you want, we can refund you. We are in a hurry, so please don’t disturb us.”
Shockingly, another traveler was spilled again, and they finally completed the third attempt—after a total of 45 minutes. Not once did anyone apologize for the delay or inconvenience. In the end, they simply placed the order on the counter without even informing me, despite me standing there with my toddler for 45 minutes.
I understand mistakes and spills can happen, but rudeness, lack of accountability, and poor customer service are unacceptable. A simple apology and respectful communication would have made a...
Read moreStopped in for a brewed coffee and baked treat. First, I asked about an issue with Starbucks stars on the app. Told “we don’t know anything about the app.” Paid and waited (and waited some more) for the coffee. I then asked the barista for my coffee and was told the cashier pours it. I reply, Ok, but there is a line and she forgot about me, I guess. No response from barista. So I wait for break in line to ask cashier for coffee. Cashier pours it for me. I remind her of the sugar I requested. She replied, it’s in there. (It wasn’t.) When leaving, I ask if I can have a bag of coffee grounds for my garden, which I’ve gotten in the past. Barista points to the waste can on floor brimming with grounds, and asked the mgr if she would get me a bag. Mgr replies, “no, I’m busy,” and I’m told to come back another day for the grounds.
Very poor experience for a Starbucks, especially the one in my neighborhood. MUCH BETTER TRAINING...
Read moreIt's a Starbucks. A little bigger than the one in South Riding. My only complaint is a minor one. After you order you wait for your coffee at the end of the bar, right? Unless you order a heated sandwich. Then you have to fight back thru the line to get the food on the other side. My wife was drink was called on the end of the bar, at the same time her name was called by another barista at the other end. I know I sound like your typical lazy American, but shouldn't your drinks amd food be picked up at the same spot? Plus I dont like telling people "excuse me" as I cut through the waiting to order line to get to my food. Not operating at peak efficiency for the customer. Next time I go in I'll offer this suggestion to the staff (they were too busy this morning). If it changes, I'll update this review. But all in all, friendly staff, quick service, and they have...
