Read moreThe local cup is a small - I'm guessing - family owned coffee shop. I'm a tea person, so I was pleased to see their wide variety of teas. Their chai tastes just like how grandma use to make it, although I can still taste some coffee remanence. Their sizes are actually correct sizes, meaning small is small, medium is medium, and large is large; it's not Starbucks where small = grande. Paying is very modern. A tip can be automatically calculated and you can have your receipt printed or sent to you through email or text. A nice touch for a local coffee shop. The staff is nice and laid back but will waste no time in getting your beverage to you. The aestetic of the shop is that of a modernist, a mix between old wood style and modern metal- if that means anything to you. There is also plenty of seating indoor and outdoor so you won't have to worry about not finding a seat. I forgot to check if there was free WiFi but I can't imagine there not being any. Another thing I didn't get to try was their food, I saw they had some on the menu but didn't get any :/. My only quarle is they don't open early enough to get something in the morning before I have to leave, and they aren't open on Sundays, but I guess all work no play makes The local cup a dull boy.
TL;DR: good place you should drop by and...
Read moreReally disappointed to see so many people inside this cafe who were not socially distancing or wearing a mask during a pandemic, and during a spike no less. The tables were close together and there were more than 12 people in such a small space. Please enforce the request by the CDC and help get us all thru this dark period. I understand the argument for personal freedom but we need to remember that with those freedoms comes a responsibility and part of the responsibility is to protect not only yourself but other people including the poor staff by doing what we can to dampen the reach of this virus. I would like to note that the staff were wearing a mask. I put the onus on management to do the right thing in...
