I’m sure the way GM Naveena cheekati & Manager Brandon Merhout represented the organization would not align with the company . I came into business as a first time paying patron with food allergies (Dairy ,Shellfish ,fish, peanuts, &tree nuts), 40 weeks pregnant, and when I ask a basic question regarding what oils is used the Manager Brandon quickly dismissed me saying he didn’t know & the grill would be closing in 12 mins so we needed to hurry up if we wanted grill food. no attempt to check with the GM on site he relayed this message to our waiter right in front of us . And when she addressed we were right infront of him all he had to say is well Now they know and went inside . Last I checked it’s not my responsibility to know what oil the establishment use but only to inform them of my allergy. I was left confused and puzzled what to eat but my server Layla was kind enough to let me know it’s not peanut because she has a peanut allergy and would dig deeper to help me. She returned shortly letting know she asked Brandon she too was dismissed and even asked the GM .Not sure how the GM doesn’t know what oils they are using especially if they are ordering to replace as they should be doing weekly. I’m questioning at this point if they even are ordering oil & changing it. I also asked what food are cooked in which fryers because if they are using both fryers to cook fish/shellfish this also needs to be disclosed. When I was left extremely disappointed and let down again because of Brandon’s nonchalant attitude another kind waitress named Cameron also went to seek information and was also told the same thing of I don’t know and I don’t care basically so I went inside to seek the management myself and question how there was no information regarding what’s going on in their kitchen regarding the process or ingredients in the food. Was told by the GM I think canola as if my life wasn’t on the line .. Not having any regard or knowledge for food allergies in 2024 is absolutely ridiculous along with poor customer service from management staff.
All I’ve learned is tiltedkilt is not food allergy friendly & management is lazy .. I’m sure if I was Brandon wife or sister he’d have cared more but I guess cause I’m a random pregnant women with allergies it’s not his business. I believe the GM needs to be more customer oriented the way she has no knowledge of basic information shows she’s strictly in it for the money and not customer experience. I hope this is not what tilted kilt is all about but if so this was my first and will be my last time visiting this company. Also I visited for the bike night with my friends to celebrate mother hood and getting out the military but my fun was ruined but they also agree they won’t be returning for the bike night or to this business for This matter due to unfair treatment of patrons with...
Read moreDrove an hour to get there to be told when my girlfriend and I walked in to be seated we can only order fried food only (it was 9:15pm and they close at 11) then the host/waitress proceeded to say the cook(s) were shutting down the fryers at 9:30, so pretty much she was saying we had to hurry up and order, after already being told we cant order nothing but fried foods, no burgers.. etc. Right then we should have gone elsewhere but I wanted their wings which was the purpose of us driving an hour away from South hill va to prince george va. We were seated by that waitress then a second waitress walks up and doesn’t even introduce herself (waitress 1 who’s name I can’t recall is the only one who introduced herself). Since they were pretty much in a rush to close we ordered our drinks, apps and entrees all at the same time since we were kind of getting that “hurry up” vibe while we were reading over our menus. The food was decent.. nothing to brag about. The second waitress was too busy sitting at the 2 tables beside us down these young boys’ throats (guess she was working on her tip since they looked like young college boys) when she did come to check on us we were rushed to answer and she could zoom off so she could hurry back to literally sit down at their table with them again. Then at 9:45 as she comes back again to grab a couple of our empty dishes she asked are we ok? i said yes we are fine since at the moment my girlfriend and I were in the middle of a conversation, she looked and said ok? You want to check you said? Again, I repeated, no I said we are fine, thank you. After that when the first waitress walked to check on us and politely asked were we ok I said yes thanks can I have a box and the check and she smiles and said yes Ill be back with that and asked if we needed refills. It was the poor customer service and the feeling of being rushed that made us just want to leave. Then to add insult to injury waitress 2 announced last call for the bar and it was only 10pm. Everyone who was seated in the section we were in looked at each other like huh? Yall dont close until 11 why not at 10:30 and it was empty so even 10:40 would have been cool but 10? They need to do better. I’m a GM of a restaurant myself and I would never call the type of service we were given tonight, acceptable. Probably wont be back to this location and if so it will be during early dinner time. Just wanted something different than Hooters or Buffalo Wild Wings. Also, even if waitress 2 is a trainee she needs to do work since they want to get everyone out early instead of just sit down with the customers and only talk to the same 2 tables. Definitely not cool....
Read moreIf google would allow me to give it ZERO stars I would. The food is what you would expect from an chain restaurant, with that being said the owner/owners and managers have no idea how to run a business. I went to eat dinner with my family which is only myself my wife and my one and a half year old not even a busy night for a Thursday. Waited an average of fifteen to twenty minutes each time from when we sat down to just take our drink order. 15-20 minutes later we actually had some one take our drink order, 15 minutes later we got those drinks. 15 minutes later we were able to put in our order for just one appetizer and our dinner. 20 minutes later our appetizer comes. 5 minutes later we actually get our dinner which was I guess quick compared to how the service was but our food was cold. We barely ate anything as everything was garbage. There was so much more that I can’t even put in to this review other then don’t go there unless you want to waste money as I did. I only stayed there with my family because I was committed to stay to the end to give them the benefit of the doubt. I spent ten years in the army ended getting out, with that being said I have had army field breakfast and dinner and most of those were MRE’s that we’re way better then what I had here. After getting out of the army I went and graduateded from culinary school worked in dozens of restaurants, bars and kitchens in all positions. So like I said if you want your basic chain restaurant food feel free and go there and waste your money. If you want the worst service you can ever think about and you don’t even have to take it from me not like I have any experience in this field ha, come here...
