Tots Ice Cream — Restaurant in Virginia

We are huge ice cream lovers. Whenever we visit an area we check out as many of the local ice cream places we can. The ice cream at Tots was fantastic. I was a little worried when I tried the Black Raspberry because they stored it close to tube banana ice cream and sometimes the banana smell can bleed into other flavors. (I hate banana.) But it was absolutely perfect. The ice cream was smooth and creamy. The Black Raspberry taste was spot on. I had a small sundae and the price was more then fair and the portions were generous. Tot's deserves a 10 out of 5 star review. This is one the best ice cream places between Lake Lure, NC and Ltitz, PA. Definitely the best ice cream shop in the Harrisonburg region. The flavors are great, there is a lot "stuff" in every spoonful and ice cream is served at the correct temperature of being hard ice cream edible using a plastic fork. The staff is great and the owner is very personable. I also make homemade ice cream and know of what I speak. Just check what your grocery stores are passing off on you, mostly frozen dairy desserts, not ice cream. The prices and serving sizes cannot be beat. The ice cream was incredible! The servings are generous. I had the Apple Pie, Peanut Butter Oreo, and Brownie Batter in a Waffle cone. The ice-cream has excellent flavor and chunks. The Apple Pie has great flavor and crumb pieces. Peanut Butter Oreo - come on, why has nobody ever done that before?!?! Along with the Oreo there are large swirls of peanut butter - close your eyes and imagine, yeah, you got it, it's that good! The Brownie Batter has large flavorful chunks of brownie in it.
