I had never heard of Your Pie before seeing it pop up here near Harrisonburg. When I looked it up, I immediately thought of Mod Pizza, which has several places in Northern VA. There is also a place called Blaze Pizza in Lynchburg. This got me pretty excited, because I have ate at both and I really like them. So I thought if Your Pie can be anything like those two, it would be a great place for our area.
Well, after trying Your Pie, I like it even more than the other two! The pizza is just amazing. If you are not familiar with any of these places, the best comparison would be to Chipotle, you go up to the counter and pick out all the ingredients you want. They have just one size, a 10" personal size, and this is by design so that the super hot brick oven can cook it in less than a couple minutes. It is a brilliant concept for pizza. Your Pie does it with very high quality ingredients, and that is immediately apparent the moment you take a bite. It doesn't matter what you pick, if its something you like, you will probably love it here. Even the cheese sticks are a step above any other.
But it doesn't stop there. They also have gelato. And oh man is their gelato incredible. I've tried several flavors and I like them all, especially the strawberry. The strawberry is truly devine. I think the gelato is something that really sets them apart. You have to try it.
They also have pasta, too, and they are pretty good as well. I like The Nat Pasta the most.
The staff is pretty attentive to you, and act like they genuinely want to help. The owner also seems rather hands on with his approach, and appears to truly want to take care of everyone, that includes his staff. While many places are cutting hours on staff and having as few staff as possible during this time, this place has numerous staff on hand at any given time. I appreciate this, as it not only helps the customer, it helps the staff, too, so they are not too stressed and overly burdened. That keeps them happy, and that translates to better service to keep us happy. I think too many other places are not looking at customer service this way.
So all in all, I can't recommend this Your Pie enough. It has quickly become our favorite...
Read moreYesterday my family and I ate at Your Pie Pizza and my experience was great. I had realized after ordering that we needed to be somewhere and the ladies and gentlemen behind the counter were very happy to help me get my food to go and got me out the door with enough time to make it to where I needed to be. Each one of them were kind and understanding of my desire to quickly get out of the door and it was wonderful service.
Today I realized that, in my rush to leave the store, I had misplaced my purse. I called to see if I had left it at the store (I was convinced that I had left it there). Fernando was the gentleman who took my call and was so kind to me. He listened patiently while I explained the contents of my purse and why it was so important to get it back (I was very stressed and frustrated at myself). He went above and beyond to retrieve my lost item and even called the night shift staff to see if they had placed it somewhere that he hadn't thought to look yet. After being unable to find my purse, Fernando called his manager, Kyle. Kyle called me himself to apologize that they were unable to find my purse and were even planning on looking at the surveillance cameras to make sure someone didn't walk off with it (or to see if maybe I had taken it with me after all).
Before they could call me back with the results of their investigation, my husband called and informed me that he had found my purse at home. Of course I felt very silly to have put them through all of that extra work. I called the store and a young lady answered (I did not get her name). I told her what had happened and how appreciative I was that they had put so much work into finding my purse and she was equally patient and kind with me (especially considering I had it all along). I encountered a whole slew of staff members at this establishment and each one of them treated me with patience and kindness from start to finish (not to mention the pizza they made was one of the best I have had in a long time). Thank you to Your Pie Pizza for your kindness and good service. I will for SURE be back in the near...
Read moreI hate to give bad reviews but, this place was very, very unorganized. We came in on Monday with a party of 8. We literally stood in line, no one greeted us for 16 minutes before I finally went to someone and ask them how the ordering process worked because we had never been there. We stood in line staring at the employees and they didn't even as much as acknowledged us. My water was the 10 inch Nashville hot chicken pizza. What upset me about this is that the young lady started making it right in front of me and puts it on a stackable tray for to go into the oven. It wasn't brought to my attention until the pizza was brought to my table that they did not have pickles to put on the pizza. I would have thought while she was making it right in front of me, she would have let me know this. The pizza was in bed, but it would have been really nice to be able to enjoy it with the pickles considering that's what I expected in the Nashville hot chicken pizza. I am aware that everybody is short staffed, I have been in the restaurant business for 30 plus years. The problem that I had with this is that no one even acknowledged us, we stood there, feeling uncomfortable, and no one said, give us a minute will be right with you, nothing, they just went on about what they were doing and never even said hello. Well I'll be back? I don't know. I will say that my pizza was decent, but it would have been nice. I've had...
