Working all the way up here from Houston Texas, I was told there are not any Vietnamese restaurants around here which may be happy to see that there was one close to work. amAs I glanced the fellow Yelp photos, I w glad see see that they have pork in a clay pot. You don't even get that kind of choice sometimes at many Vietnamese restaurant back home.
Stepped in here around 5:30 in the afternoon and was happy to experience that with less than five people in here you can treat it like a king! I mean that these people are very attentive and personal I don't know how it is when they get busy but I'm sure I will find out one day I'm thinking they are doing well with all of the great reviews. You people hit the spot on this one.
Parking is plenty you should never have any problems finding a space even though it is a joined by other businesses.
As you walk into the interior you can see that they made thoughtful plans into what they placed on the walls, the surroundings, the waiting area and the settings around the table. Nothing look like it was thrown in haphazard way to make it look like a restaurant. This would be a decent restaurant to take out a first date it will not break your wallet.
It's not on the menu, but if you ask, they can make it for you which is the pork in a clay pot. What they show on the menu is a fish in a clay pot but I saw the pork that someone else posted and was craving that and without blinking and eye, they happily said they can make it for me. It came out really well it had less sweetness that most organic clay pots have and it was spicy as requested.
There is outside dining which compliments the area that you walk into if you choose to sit outside.
This is really a place you should try at least once. I hope you like it. Please tell me how you felt about this place when you do. ...
Read moreUnfortunately we won’t be going there anymore, my husband and I used to go there a lot but last time was few days ago we went and ordered the usual brisket pho but this time the brisket was 90% fat and barely any actual beef! So I had to ask our server ( I showed her a plate full of fat as I had to separate each piece to remove the fat portion which was like 90% of every single piece) to bring a side of brisket with beef not just the fat so they did.
the manager (or maybe the owner) then approached me while I was having my meal and he said sorry for that but next time ask for brisket with no fat! so I was like ok and just explained to him that I always order the same meal and the brisket comes with meat and some fat but today it was all fat and barely any beef he kept cutting me and repeat same thing; NEXT TIME ASK FOR JUST BEEF NO FAT in your brisket! He was very defensive for no reason … So i repeated myself with the same answer and you can tell that he was irritated and he didn’t let me finish my sentence he kept interrupting me for no reason to make it sound that it’s my fault lol as if i knew all I will get is fat as if I knew I will be served 90% fat and barely any beef on my dish …
I found it very rude of him to approach me and not listen to me as a customer and trying to blame me for what...
Read moreThe new favorite viet restaurant in the area. Food is authentic, flavorful, and fresh. Restaurant is new and clean with a nice aesthetic. Should've taken more pics but here's the rundown of some of my fav dishes today:
Bo Tai Chanh (beef in lime salad/sauce) - basically thinly sliced beef ceviche style where it's cooked by the acidity of lime juices in herbs served over salad
Pho Ap Chao Thap Cam (pan fried noodles) - got the combo style which comes with veggies, shrimp, beef and chicken. Noodles are so fresh. Sauce is just right
Shrimp Fried Rice (com chien tom) - perfectly fried. Rice was fresh. Pieces were crisped perfectly in a wok before being tossed with shrimp. Perfect texture and flavor
Hot (Cast) Iron Pot Rice - let it sit so the rice can crisp on the bottom before eating. So good and the only place in the area that offers iron pot rice. Other places use clay pots which don't crisp up the same
Try their salted lemon and passion fruit drinks. Think they use a jasmine tea as a base so it's extra fragrant!
Read some atrocious reviews. Think this place is being trolled by...
