It was clean. Nice, beautiful decorations. There was a tall, white, nice guy at the door with a cross necklace who was very professional, polite, welcoming, and considerate. He greeted and led us to our table. Later, he switched our table when the careless, irresponsible, distracted waitress spilled olive oil on our table and our booth without apologizing or cleaning. She was trying to rush and get the order before we got a chance to wash our hands. She put the rolled silverware in napkins on my dad's food in the sauce and didn't do anything to fix it. Other staff were welcoming, nice, and responsive. There was another young, responsible girl who cleaned our table twice. The food was ok. The dishes weren't exactly the same as the pictures on their website. Linguine alle Vongole didn't taste garlic sauce, and it had 7 small clams, not the one in the photo. Marsala didn't come as the photo. It had the chicken on top of the side, not on the side. For Mahi Mahi al Limone,a $30 dish, there was no lemon and dill on top like the photo on their website And it could have a better taste and flavor. As a fan of Italian food who traveled to Italy many times, I think other Italian restaurants in Virginia have more tasty and flavor dishes. I liked the atmosphere. It has the potential to offer better food for the price and hire waitresses who are not distracted and don't do a lousy job.

My dad and I discovered this place by chance my senior year of undergrad and I’ve been coming here ever since. The Zinfandel I had the other night was delicious, and the food is generally good, but the gnocchi. Oh my god, the gnocchi. I’ve had a lot of different gnocchis from a lot of different places but they are sad, pale shadows compared to the trio gnocchi from Villa Bella. Words fail me at how delicious the trio gnocchi is here. For starters, they give you Alfredo, meat sauce, and pesto sauce, while most places will just give you a generic red sauce. I teeter between which one is my favorite pretty frequently but I think it may be the Alfredo. The potato dumplings themselves are so perfectly sized and cooked. My fiancé told me nothing was worse than looking down at his plate and seeing that he only had two bites left, and I have to agree with him. So, yeah, this place has pretty much ruined gnocchi everywhere else for me. If I lived closer to it, you’d better believe I’d be here every other weekend. And no, this is not an exaggeration: the gnocchi here is unreal, to the point that it’s all I ever order when I come here now.

I called in an order for a large pizza and a 12 count garlic knot side. When I got there to pick it up, I paid and received my pizza. I asked about the garlic knots and the order hadn't been put in. This in and of itself wasn't a problem for me. I asked for the order again and paid the difference. In no longer than the 2 minutes I had paid for the order, a gal brought me the 12 knots. We drove home 5 min away and the garlic knots were clearly old. They certainly couldn't have been made in the short time from when I asked for them again. I bit into them and they were room temperature, not even warm, and they were dry and firm, no longer soft. It was a real shame because they sounded good and I'm confident that when these come straight out of the oven, they're delicious. But old or reheated knots were very disappointing. Thankfully the pizza was delicious. The decor inside is quite charming and my wife and I hope to visit for a dine in experience sometime even though the knot situation was a bit offputting.

I have been to this restaurant several times. The food is good, however it can be expensive depending on what you get. I always get the lobster ravioli which is very good, however I would have liked a little more sauce. I did as for a lot of sauce, however I am not sure the young waiter told the kitchen that? My grandmother go the chicken paramsane which was a little overcooked and little dry. I told her to tell the man, how she told the waiter before we left, which again I doubt he told the manager anything. My brother got fettuccine Alfredo and added chicken and it was $5 for some chicken, which is high. I thought the Alfredo sauce was too thin, and a little bland. My brother thought it was okay. This place can get loud, which it was when we went yesterday for dinner. There was a group that was getting a little. Loud. I did tell the hottest to let the manager know. It is not their fault, it's just that restaurant is not built with a lot of installation or acoustic absorbers or whatever is needed to absorb the sound. This trip we could not even have a good conversation unless we raised our voices a little. My uncle said he went with a group of men from church a few weeks or month ago, and he said the service was so bad in the back room that he had to go get water for the table, as no one was waiting on them, and did not check on them as they should have. The manager should have discounted meals or something, however I do not think anything was done. The food is good, and I would visit this restaurant again, however some things need to improve, and prices are a little higher for...

I’ve never even been. I was considering it tonight. I looked at their photos and pictures on yelp and Google. Some are posted by customers and others are posted by the restaurant to attract customers. I saw one and was like wow! That looks familiar. I zoomed in and the plate said BRIO! The restaurant in Fair Oaks mall. Unbelievable. Using another restaurant’s food images to attract people to your restaurant. Talk about false advertising and PLAGARISM. Claiming works of others as your own. Will NEVER eat here. The restaurant responded when I called them out in FB. Villa Bella: Ma’am thank you for taking the time to write this feedback. We have no control over what Yelp and google post to our page. If you look through our Facebook page, and our website you will find out dishes. We appreciate your concern, we have been a staple of the Burke community for 2 decades. We approach our restaurants with integrity and passion. Please find some of our pictures on our pages. Thank you! Lisa B.: Posted by the OWNER (Villa Bella) is very clearly labeled at the bottom. What a professional establishment to then try to gaslight someone despite obvious proof. You claimed your Google and Yelp page and submitted photos of your establishment. Psychopaths go for decades, sometimes their entire lives without being found out. How long you have been in business doesn’t speak to your integrity and who you all are shows very clearly in your response. “Find pictures on our page”. Ha! This is YOUR page. Claimed by you and customers writing reviews. On the bottom, you clearly see the poster...these photos were...

This establishment is right down the street from me. I go there for lunch some times, some times for dinner and sometimes for a cocktail and and appetizer. Doesn't matter when or why the food is always fantastic. The service is prompt, attentative and polite. There is character in this place, and I love it. Bennie the General Manager makes sure your dining experience will be remembered and you want to come back.

The food. So you read my reviews.. and I believe the first ingredient to good food.. love. Attention to detail and this establishment has both in full effect. So of course the sauce is the key thay opens the door to memorable experience and theirs is awesome. Gnocchi is off the chart and oh did I mention.. brick oven pizza!! The pizza chef is an artisan. Consistent, caring , and proud that's how would describe him. The pretty little bartender is always in a good mood and loves to entertain while she works she is a blast.

My wife and I love to sit at the bar and order appetizers and drink my lemoncello.. on ice.. stirred not shaked. I really like this place alot. Making it thru the past couple years in the restaraunt business hasn't been an easy task you got to have the type of love and passion that this place has. With Bennie at the helm this place flourishes, I cannot recommend it enough..

Let me end with this,

due pollici in su...two thumbs up.. and that only because I don't...
