We went in at almost 1am, the staff was busy, we found a table and asked one of the staff to clean the table so we could sit down. He did and took our drink order. He came back about 10 mins later to take our food order. We ordered a sausage, egg, and hash-brown bowl. A side of grits. A Texas patty bacon melt, with lettuce and tomato and two waffles. We waited awhile longer then ,one of the cooks had asked if we were still waiting for our order. We said yes. It was another 5 or so mins before our server put in our order. At that point one of the other cooks or manager I’m not sure who he was stated “ they’ve been waiting for a hot minute, where’s their order” our server said “ that was it I just put it in”. The gentleman walked over and wrote something on our ticket and went back to his station. He was clearly very upset. The lady came back over to us and told us that our food would be free, due to how long it took for us to even get the order in. We finally got our food around 1:40. We got the sandwich with no lettuce or tomato, and the bowl. No grits or waffles. Our server came over and asked if there was anything else that we needed, my husband said yes I had 2 waffles. The server said ok. Went and put 2 waffles in the cooker, then when they were done gave them to other customers; came back and asked my husband again about how many waffles he wanted. My husband told him two. He then put in two more and then when those were done gave them to someone else once again. He ignored us and at that point my husband was just done with the whole situation. We decided to just leave since at that point it was clear we really weren’t going to get what we had asked for and our server was half ignoring us. We absolutely appreciated the other two people that stepped in and tried rectify the situation. It’s very frustrating when you are tired and hungry and do not get what you asked for. Then were made to believe you were going to get what you asked for and then still didn’t. I’m not sure if our server was just doing this out of spite or if he really doesn’t know what he’s doing. When we got our ticket we saw that he hadn’t even written down half of what we ordered. Again we are appreciative of the other two that took up for us and comped our meal. They did their best to make it right and for that we are appreciative. I think the young boy that was our server may need some more...
Read moreNew update: Valentine's at Waffle House was horrid in 2023. The service was good but the food was not. They just started decorating around 5-6pm and the few tables were reserved. I don't know how things were so backed up and food was tasteless and underwhelming with so many people working that day. I understand it's hard to find help and I hope they find some good people. It was busy and they could've done more to be more welcoming.
Update:Dropped in today to find the cutest Valentine setup! They had a small couples menu. The staff was so fun and great!!!! So happy we decided to go tonight! ..,.....,.......,.......,
Love the food and staff!!! Best Smothered...covered...and chunked hash browns! I think the prices are decent for plenty of food. I like to order a BLP: Bacon, lettuce, and pickles. They get it right every time and it's made to order with no complaints. They offer chilli, burgers, and all day breakfast choices. They do have some great dessert pies, if you need to finish if with something sweet. They have a juke box that takes quarters and you can choose some music to listen to. It contains a variety of music, but more older selections. My son loves to play the box! It's always clean, even though it can get VERY busy and often caters to the Truckers that jump off the interstate. You CAN call in an order to pick up! But be aware--you need to know what they serve. 🌟MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS TIP WAITERS AND WAITRESS (wherever you may be eating). Give me a 👍 if you thought this was detailed...
Read moreMy daughter and I ate there today around 3:30. We waited 15 minutes before a waitress approached us. My double order of hashbrowns with the works was a solid brick. The waitress wasn't helpful at all, and she wasn't taking care of us. We couldn't order coke for an unknown reason, and she didn't give us silverware. My daughter's waffle was completely covered in too much chocolate chips, without silverware, and no syrup. Her butter package was on top of her waffle, which is nasty, if this butter package was recycled from another customer's table, which does happen often in food service. I told my daughter to reach over the counter behind her to grab a syrup, and it was nasty. My hashbrowns didn't have ham or tomatoes, and it was just a horrible brick. I told the waitress, and she simply said she was sorry....with no regard at all. (I still paid full price.) I had to ask for a refill on my tea. I tipped her $3, but she sure didn't earn it. Please train your cooks and waitresses. Will probly be a year before I'm brave enough to come back. Our experience in Dublin Virginia Waffle House should have been better than this. From beginning of our visit to the end, a big bag of salad mix sat on the counter beside of us, and the workers just left it sitting there open, and the workers never touched it...they were not having...
