Wasabi Sushi & Hibachi — Restaurant in Virginia

Update 11/28/24 I am very dissatisfied with what just occurred here. The food is ok, but please if you pay with a card, watch your accounts. I purchased a Shrimp Hibachi bento lunch special on 11/26/24 roughly around 1pm. The amount came to $13.77. Somehow, this morning, while going over my bank statement, I see that this place charged me $20.77, so they gave themselves a heavy tip, or they overcharged me. Fortunately, I still have my receipt and a picture of the one I sighed for them, so I will be reporting this as fraud to my bank and making a report to the Better Business Bureau.

I've had carry out from here three times now. All three times, the service has been stellar. Even during lunch hour, when they have a lot of customers, the employees are always professional and patient. I haven't had an opportunity to dine in, but from what I've seen, the restaurant presents a calming and peaceful atmosphere. Even when there is a lot of people eating in, the place doesn't get too loud. The only issue I have is that there is limited parking, but that's only because this restaurant shares a lot with several other businesses. I highly recommend this place if you pass...

I give two stars only because if you're looking for decent sushi then this is your place, anything else, don't waste your money. Ordered the steak hibachi, first I'll tell you about what they call steak. It was the cheapest piece of beef they could buy, it was so tuff, forget about chewing it. I even ordered it cooked medium! Then there were the crunchy vegetables, they were cooked but just barely. The broccoli and onions were done but the carrots and zucchini weren't. You literally would have wanted a side of ranch dressing to dip them in instead of yum-yum sauce. The rice I think was already pre-cooked, and had no taste at all. The other meal was vegetarian hibachi, it's vegetables were the same. I had food to take home, asked for an extra side of yum-yum sauce and they charged me .50 cents for a tiny (2Tbsp) container. All in all, for two hibachi dinners and 4 pieces of sushi 2 cokes, and a tip, it is $56. Why I brought any food home, I guess I hate to leave leftovers. Just took my second trip and had to leave a review because it was still like my first time…ALL GOOD! I didn’t take any pictures for my second visit but I have my first visit pics posted. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and texture of the rolls here. Every dish I tried was made to perfection. I thought maybe I was hungry/greedy the first visit. Maybe that’s why I thought the food was sooooo good. Nope! It really is that good! Next is the service. The owner (this is a guess that she is the owner not sure) is always so welcoming and nice. I feel as though I’m going to an old friend’s home to enjoy dinner. The atmosphere received a 4/5 only because of the extremely poor lighting conditions.
