I visited this location yesterday. I had been looking forward to trying this place for a long time and I finally was in the area and decided to give it a shot. I was not that impressed with the customer service, cleanliness of the restaurant, nor the quality of food. It doesn't take a lot to make me happy, but beings that I've managed restaurants almost my whole life, this location was less than great! First of all, when I walked in, there weren't many customers there. Maybe one couple and a family of three. But the manager and the two employees looked like they were stressed out of their minds making food. They had no phone orders. A customer walked up behind me and got to the register before me and took 15 minutes to order food for 3 people. They have two registers. Someone could have taken my order on the other register so I didn't have to wait so long. The place wasn't clean. The windows looked as though they'd been washed with greasy water, the napkin dispensers on the table had so much dust on them I could grow tomatoes, the men's room was dirty and had no paper towels and the dining room floor wasn't all that clean either. Someone could have stepped from behind the counter and gotten all of that handled. The milkshake was eh! I make better milkshakes at home! I like a thick milkshake. It was very thin. For what they charge for the bacon cheese fries you would think they were gourmet! They are just shoe string fries with shredded cheese, chives and fake bacon bits on them. At least you could put real pieces of bacon on them! I ordered the rodeo burger. It wasn't half bad. It had good flavor and the Chipotle mayo was good on it as well. Overall, the staff could have been friendlier, price of the fries less pricey for what you get, and the restaurant much cleaner. There are much better burger joints around that I'd...
Read moreGuy taking our order felt very unfriendly and made the three of us kinda uncomfortable because he never smiled or nodded and just stared at us while I gave the order. I wanted the Classic burger but with a chicken patty instead (I’m allergic to beef) so I said that to him. He seemed confused so I made sure to say “that’s with a chicken patty and NO beef” again when he repeated our order. Everything seemed to be in order and the other stuff we ordered came out (although the chicken tenders were really small and I was worried my brother wasn’t going to be full enough) and the food we got tasted good, milkshake was really good! My order came out with beef... when I refused it the (who I’m guessing was the manager/lead on duty) came and asked why I refused what I had ordered. I explained to her how I ordered it and felt bad because I know it wasn’t her fault, her worker just clearly misunderstood. However, I felt that I was very clear when ordering and I’ve never had issues ordering a menu item that originally comes with a beef patty with a non-beef substitute at other restaurants before. It still seemed like an issue because she kept saying “we don’t do it that way” until she finally asked “so you want all the same toppings as the classic but with a chicken patty?” and I said yes. I had to wait for them to remake the whole thing and felt bad my younger siblings had to wait on me, especially because it was late at night. The sandwich ended up being OK. They made the situation right in the end, but it was really frustrating having to explain something that I feel was really easy so many times :( my sister loves the cheesy burger though and gets it every time! Expect her to be a repeat customer. I don’t live in the area so I probably won’t go back during my visits...
Read moreI was looking forward to trying the burgers from here, as I've driven by it so many times.
I was able to order my burger with ease. However, she asked if I wanted a combo, so I said sure, could I get onion rings, are they included? Yes, then she asked me what soda I wanted, so I asked if I get a bottle of water, is it extra? No. Apparently a "combo" is not like a fast food combo that is pre-priced; instead, you pay the the actual price for the drink and fries/onion rings. So NO it's not included and is extra.
I ordered a cheeseburger with grilled onions, mushrooms, swiss cheese and mayo/ketchup. I was waiting by the counter, so I watched them make the food. I'm not sure if she was being stingy with the onions/mushrooms butI had to ask her to put more of the grilled onions/mushrooms on my burger. The meat patty was pretty dry and there really wasn't enough of the onions and mushrooms.
The onion rings were amazing, and the mac & cheese bites were pretty good too, but not very cheesy. They are very clean though, I noticed that they were always handling the food with gloves. At one point, I saw the girl change her gloves, so that's part of the reason for the two stars, otherwise, I'd have given one.
I came here for the burger/onion rings on my first visit and came back another day for the mac & cheese bites.
I can't say that I would definitely return... There are way too many other burger places to try out...
