Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Virginia

Been going to this Chick-Fil-A for a few years now. At one time it was a part of my weekly routine, but now I'll be hard pressed to return - even if nothing else in the area is open.

This location only gets orders right about 50% of the time. When paying so much for fast food, one would hope that number would, at least, be higher.

Their fries are almost always squishy and oily, not remotely crispy. Food comes out cold. Unsweet tea is a myth at this location. Entree salads and side salads come with old, wet lettuce. If they DO happen to remember to include all that you've paid for, it's usually a sad imitation of what other locations are able to offer every time.

I've seen it mentioned in other reviews, but employees standing outside in harsh weather to take orders creates the opposite effect that the location is presumably intending. Why take orders with an iPad in the summer heat, rain and freezing cold when the drive through speakers work perfectly fine? It comes across as thoughtless rather than earnest.

Often they'll ask cars to wait at the stop sign at the end of the line while they fulfil orders further behind in the line. If you get your food, it's likely you'll have to wait an extra few minutes to leave, as the path forward is blocked by others waiting on food. This does not make sense and creates feelings of palpable frustration.

The employees are nice, but the systems in place by management, low quality food and the lack of proper order completion/quality assurance hold this location back in too many ways. Corporate-mandated politeness can only force me to overlook things for so long.

There are many other examples of inconsistency here, but this review is already long enough to describe a sub-par fast food restaurant.

Consider spending your money elsewhere. You will not get what you pay for at...

I have Chik-Fil-A red status, I have been consistently going to this Chikfila since they’ve opened. I want to say first and foremost that I’ve let a lot of things go because it was a new franchise and I grew up in the fast food industry so I know how difficult this job can be and in the past when I’ve gotten really upset I have called and talked to friendly managers and staff and have gotten additional points or free food.

That being said, I can just not in good conscience give this Chikfila my business anymore. I eat food from this Chikfila at minimum once a week, I always order through the mobile app, I always go through the drive thru and 90% of the time there is something wrong with my order. Whether it’s a missing dessert, wrong drink, missing fries, no milk for my daughters kids meal, forgetting the egg that I pay extra for on a breakfast sandwich, or a bug in the salad (yes this has happened, multiple times)

To be continuously burned by a restaurant and brand who’s so well known and prides itself in its good service is incredibly frustrating. If I want Chik Fil A, I will be driving to the location at Dulles 28, and will no longer be giving this Chikfila, that is right up the street from my house btw, business. I recently visited Chick-fil-A during lunchtime, and even though the restaurant was packed, the staff worked efficiently to ensure that the orders didn't take too long. I've visited this location several times, and I've never experienced any mistakes or mix-ups with my order, which is impressive. The workers were incredibly busy, yet always friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to refill drinks and bring additional sauce upon request.

What's more, they offer both drive-thru and curbside pickup options, which is incredibly convenient. The waffle fries were a highlight of my meal, always served hot and crispy, and the chicken patty in the sandwich was consistently hot and delicious. The parking lot is spacious, making it easy to find a spot.
