I know someone who is obsessed with Wendy's Taco Salad so I tried it. First of all the employees were super nice and efficient. I always appreciate good service. đ Because I have always made my own Taco Salad I didn't know what to expect. The salad was a little disappointing in the flavor category for me. The chili was a little sweet and sour cream was tasteless. I don't even know why anyone would put that on the salad because it's more calories with no added taste. Don't get me wrong, I'm not insistent on it being a fancy meat based salad as opposed to chili nor do I hate sour cream. I've fed my family using canned chili to make Taco salad as a quick and easy meal. Layer corn chips of your choice, Lettuce, tomatoes, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, let each person choose how much chili they want ladled over it and top with sour cream. Quick and easy. That's why I was so surprised that I didn't like Wendy's Taco Salad đ. But for $9 bucks I thought it would have more flavor..maybe add more cumin less tomato sauce to the chili.. When I got to Wendy's I checked in, chose Drive Thru, and told the person manning the speaker that I had a mobile order. They acted as if such a thing didn't exist. They finally told me to go to the window. I went to the window where they required me to hand over my phone - twice - because they didn't believe I had a mobile order. Even after handing my phone over twice the manager was still claiming I hadn't paid because the mobile order receipt says "Payment Processing" at the bottom. I finally had to go into the restaurant, show them my bank app to prove the charge was on my account and demand they either give me my food or my money back. At that point the manager claimed they didn't have my money - even though I'd just showed him the charge! Not sure if maybe they lost their old managers, but they have either been backed up badly or gotten an order very wrong the last two times I visited. I world rather it took longer and was right, though, since a flubbed order causes serious problems for me. I'll keep coming, but I miss the reliable performance this location was always able to deliver in the past.
