Seda was timely and responsive from the beginning of our communications. I initially thought to have a 3D sculpted cake for my child's birthday, however a handful of cake shops (this one included) did not have enough time to produce the sculpted cake that I sent a ton of details/photos for. What made Seda (Wholly Sweets) stand out was her awesome response to my initial request. Rather than kindly informing me that she would have loved to make my cake but did not have the availability for the weekend I needed it (like most other shops), Seda's customer service went the extra mile, as she stated ideas/possibilities for a simpler/creative design that could work in time enough for my child's birthday! I appreciated the suggestion and immediately fed off of that, coming to a final cake design agreement, full payment and exchanged cake accessories within a matter of a day or two. I'm the type to respond to emails in a timely manner, and I appreciated Seda's timeliness (which allowed adequate time for designing an awesome cake).

In end, the cake was gorgeous....my child loved it, as did the other kids and parents.....and it drew quite a crowd of onlookers when we pulled it out of the box in the mall food court (we had a Boss Baby movie birthday celebration with ice cream from ColdStone and cake and goody bags in the food court area just outside of the theatre)....it was fulfilling to see the kids crowd around the cake and hear them say "Whoa!", as if they had never seen a cake before. Parents were quick to ask me who made the cake, as the fondant was crisp and clean, the white was white, with no blemishes, fingerprints or other annoying knicks. Not only did the cake look good, but most importantly IT TASTED GOOD!!! As some may know, fondant is not the greatest tasting finish on a cake (especially black fondant), however, Seda brilliantly added a thick chocolate shell just on the inside of the fondant, that appeased everyone's taste buds...This, in addition to the moist, four-tiered vanilla chocolate marble cake with layers of butter cream in between...Tasted better than ever!!! The cake was a hit!!! Might I add that word had traveled about the cake to a family that wasn't able to attend the party, and before I made it home with the remainder of the cake, they called and shared that they heard the cake was good enough to break a Vegan Fast (🐔cluck cluck cluck....🐄moooo). Of course I delivered a chunk of it to them! ;). Well done Wholly Sweets!! This will defintely be my Go-To Shop for the D.C./Maryland/Virginia area, and I strongly recommend this shop to others. Wholly Sweets has proven to be a cake shop that master's in making great-tasting cakes, with the added bonus of the cakes looking meticulously good as well! You WILL NOT be disappointed! Win, win!!

My husband, Tyler, and I got married in October and Seda made us the PERFECT wedding cake. It was an absolute pleasure working with Seda from start to finish!! Even the small tasting cakes she made us were exceptional (she put decorative details on the tasting cakes - that blew me away right from the start because it shows how much care goes into her work). I sent Seda a few inspo pictures and told her my florist would provide some photos and I'm telling you, when I walked into the venue and saw the cake in person, I was SPEECHLESS. It was absolutely stunning (and quite frankly, better than the inspo pictures). In addition to the stunning decoration, the cake tasted amazing! We had three different cake/icing combinations (and thank goodness my venue grab a piece of each for us because I got to enjoy all three delicious flavors on the wedding night) I was looking forward to the cake from the start of the day because I knew how good it was going to be (based on the tasting). Wholly Sweets Bake Shop cakes are moist, fresh, punchy with flavor but balanced, and overall so delicious. I can't wait for any occasion that calls for a cake, because I am going right back to Wholly Sweets Bake Shop....

A dear friend introduced me to this bakery in 2016. I immediately loved the cake she made for the USMC birthday ball. Ever since then I am hooked to her cakes. This bakery is now my favorite place to call or order online for all my event cakes. I have a huge family and love hosting events. Three years ago Wholly sweet bake shop made a birthday cake for daughters 13th birthday. My daughter and guest loved the cake. I know where I’ll be ordering her sweet sixteen. For my 15th year anniversary I explained my vision and my cake was perfectly designed beyond my expectations. 2018 I ordered a cake for my sisters wedding the flavor and texture were astonishing. I kid you not. I love the vanilla flavor with the butter cream frosting. It’s not heavy on the sugar . It’s the perfect amount. 2019 she designed a show stopping cake for my retirement. It was so perfect I refused to cut it. My sisters had bribe me. We enjoyed the retirement cake. Yesterday And now it’s my favorite place to go for all my event cakes. she created a masterpiece for my parents anniversary the colors, and flavors were amazing 🤩. I love Wholly sweet bake shop.
