The worst hotel experience ever!!

My wife booked a two-night stay for a business trip, arriving at approximately 9 pm. Upon checking in, she was informed that her room was not cleaned and that all the cleaning staff had left for the day. Shockingly, she was told there was no one available to clean the room and that there were no other rooms available for her. The front desk staff also claimed that all nearby hotels were fully booked. So she was left stranded without accommodation late at night. And the hotel offers nothing more than a refund and a nonchalant apology. She didn't even get a room for the second night.

She had no choice but to call a friend, who lived 40 minutes away, to rescue her, and she ended up staying there for two nights. She was visiting NSF, which is located near the hotel, but after this ordeal, she was forced to commute back and forth using Uber and the subway.

After I filed a complaint, the hotel manager called. He used overbooking as an excuse. When I asked about compensation for the additional commuting costs my wife incurred, he flatly refused, stating that even if I escalated the case, they would not cover any extra expenses caused by their error. The only compensation offered was a free night’s stay at their hotel. I had no interest in this, but I asked for details out of curiosity. He explained that it would be a coupon for one free night, but they wouldn’t send it via email or mail. Instead, we would have to visit the hotel personally to pick up the coupon and use it for a future stay. A very interesting way of providing compensations.

Anyway, I wouldn't want to do any business with this hotel again. I'm not sure if this issue is specific to this location or if the entire chain operates under the same policies, but over the past 20 years, we have stayed in many hotels around the world, and we've never encountered anything like this. We've faced unavailable rooms before, whether due to overbooking, system errors, or even natural disasters, but in every instance, we were offered an alternative solution—good or not so good. This is the first time that a hotel just leaves the guest alone to digest the problem. Throughout the whole experience including my conversation with the manager, I feel they just don't care. They lack both the attitude and the approach necessary to handle such situations.

As customers, what we can do is quite limited. So just wanna share this experience, and stay away from this hotel and brand...

The place is bad and pathetic. I booked a stay with them a month before my arrival as I was traveling with my family including my husband, 2kids 5yo and 5mo baby. It was the worst nightmare I experienced when I landed at the hotel after driving for 6hours when they said no rooms available. How on earth can they say when I have my reservations done so much prior to my arrival? There was one more customer near the reception complaining the same and she was promised to give a room and has been waiting for a couple of hours. When I asked them that I would need them to fix this problem. They started talking to the people over phone to book us a room in a nearby hotel and when that didn't work for them, they said they can give a room in their hotel. As they were running short of staff, the manager (Desh Sharma) and the receptionist (Eric) cleaned the room by themselves where the people just checked out. Well, we managed to get a room but look at the crazy deal we had to go through with my baby. The room wasn't well cleaned as we imagined it right. There was a panty lying behind the couch and it looked like the room hasn't been vacuumed for years as we found a lot of dust underneath the bed frames. The bath tub was stained. The hotel said the breakfast to go was included in the money what we paid but unfortunately we didn't get any breakfast of any kind for all the 3days that we stayed over there. So the money I wanted to save in booking this hotel was all gone paying for the breakfast. If the same money I paid for other hotel, I would have got breakfast and good service and clean rooms.

There's a TV in the room but don't bother to turn it on coz it doesn't work, no cable too. They said they will fix and yes obviously they did not.

Towels were not clean and were never replaced during the entire stay. They don't pick phone calls at the reception. And only once they did and I had a simple question asking them is the water from the tap safe to drink and the lady at the front desk says she doesn't know . What does that mean?

So if you are planning to stay here, please think over. I'm sure you will have a bad experience too. I regretted so much for choosing this place. I chose this place for 2 reasons as it was decently priced and in a good location. Trust me, I could spend an extra few dollars and sleep in peace rather than sleep with regret. And moreover I didn't actually save anything extra as I spent more since I had to buy a breakfast...

If I could give 0 star, I'd have rated 0. The stay at this place became an extended nightmare because bed bug bites are very itchy and bothersome! This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed. I have bedbug bites to show forth. I booked this hotel through my company's travel agency site thinking that it was safe. Was I so wrong? My flight landed late so I tried to check in at 11 pm. As soon as I walked into the lobby, I immediately noticed that it was a run-down hotel. There was no one at the check-in desk for 15 mins. then the person could not find my reservation (which was booked 2 months ago). After the clerk found someone with my name in the computer (which also took another 15 mins), the record showed different contact information and different booked dates. After filling out some paperwork, I finally got assigned to a room. I go up and find that the room is occupied already! I go back down, wait 10 mins to see the clerk, get a different room. As soon as I got into the room, it smelled moldy and like cigarettes. The kitchen area look like it hasn't been cleaned for years. The toilet seat bottom had poop stains on it. I seriously thought about canceling the reservation and go to a different hotel but by this time, I was too tired and too late at night. I complain about the situation to hotel manager via email, and hear back after a day - got a refund for one night. Even though the room was smelly and dirty (and bad customer service), I decided to stay because of its convenient location to my conference. Next morning, I see people bringing in their dogs into the hotel rooms. Then I also notice dog feces on the hotel ground... Fast forward to check-out day and I fly back home to CO, that same night after I got out of shower, I notice red, tiny bumps on my arms and neck, which started to become itchy. The next morning, I showed it to a doctor at an urgent care clinic, who confirms that they are most likely bedbug bites!! I supposed I got what I paid for (and even more with bedbugs). Please do not stay here if you...

Do you have a garage or shed at your house? And did you buy an air mattress years ago and completely forgot you had it stored in said garage or shed? Is it covered in dead leaves, dirt, and bugs? If so, make sure you bring that with you and use that to sleep on in this hotel because that will be the cleanest thing in the room. If booking here, also make sure you have friends down here who rented a car and ask them if you can just sleep in their car for the night. MUST LOVE OTHER PEOPLE’S PETS! If you don’t own a pet, don’t worry, there will be dozens of different types of animals roaming the halls at all hours of the night. Don’t worry about setting an alarm, you’ll wake up every half hour throughout your stay due to some noise that makes you question whether or not this entire stay is being filmed for a hidden camera tv show to see how people react to different sounds- barking, arguments, people knocking on YOUR door, and the neighbors moving out at 1am. It was kind of fun to guess what could be happening outside your door and was it safe?? If you’re bored, you can also play a game called “what is that on my ceiling?” Don’t worry, even if you stand on the bed to get a closer look at the “thing” on the ceiling, you will still be perplexed. The hotel takes a unique approach to fire safety, opting for the “fend for yourself” option versus smoke detectors. If you want to remain clean, AVOID THE BATHROOM, there is nothing clean about that room. Lastly, STICKY- if you end up staying here, you’ll know what I mean. One star given due to the fact that the hot water was reliable and Eric the front desk clerk was as helpful as he could be in his situation. If I could’ve left a zero star rating I would. Terrible F, would not recommend.

HORRIBLE place to stay! Not sure how there are any positive reviews about this place. No one is ever at the front desk, trash everywhere, the hallways smell like mold, the only 1-2 employees look annoyed to be there. The actual room was dirty with hair on the shower walls, torn up bathroom door with duck tape holding it together, there were screws all down the side of the door which looks like someone was held hostage in the bathroom or something and they were trying to rip the door open. The toilet seat has deep dirty permanent scratches on it, the AC unit is extremely loud and clanky like it's about to break down at any moment. When we opened the sofa bed there was all sorts of crumbs and dirt all over it. No sheets or anything were available in the room, it was just a dirty thin spring mattress. When we went downstairs (multiple times since no one is ever at the desk) the man at the front sighed and looked every annoyed to retrieve any sheets. My husband came back with 2 flat sheets... no comforter, no pillows. We had to go back down again to get what should have been available from the get go. I went to cancel the remainder of my stay after night 1 and was told by maintenance that the lady was running late and would be there by 8a, she never showed. We couldn't continue to wait after 20mins and had to leave to make our plans. I'm EXTREMELY disappointed and disgusted with this hotel!!

My worst experience with hotel stay.. The room is decent, but the floor was very dirty.. you cannot see the dirt with your eyes but when you walk on the floor, your feet become black.. You also see the towel on which we wiped our feet and it turned dirty .. Informed the front desk lady the night we checked in, but she was not able to send anybody.. We booked the room for two days that is Saturday and Sunday, but we on Sunday morning at 11.. I booked the hotel through hotels.com and it seems the hotel is denying any refund .. Which is unfair, we have faced inconvenience, and still they’re not willing to refund at least for the day that we did not stay.. I don’t recommend anyone to book or check into this hotel .. And the worst part is the breakfast is horrible .. do not think it’s a full breakfast.. there is some coffee muffins of unknown brand that it.. Do not book your room in this hotel..
