I used to love this place and would rave about how great it was. Over the last year, this place went from really good, to so-so, and now not even worth going. The other day, I ordered vegetarian fried rice, it was listed on the receipt as vegetarian, however, I was given beef. I called that night to let know order was wrong, but they had already closed. I tried several times the next day, and finally was able to talk with someone. First, the person argued with me on the phone, saying it was beef. I let her know I ordered online, and the receipt reflected vegetarian add egg. After a few minutes, the person on the phone admitted that her computer inputted it wrong. She told me that I could just come down now and get another one. First off, NO APOLOGY!! I ordered a vegetarian dish, was given beef, and you couldn’t simply apologize?
When I was offered another one, I declined. I told her than I appreciate it, however I needed a refund because dinner for tonight was already planned, and I wanted to rice yesterday, not today. She said that they didn’t issue refunds from this restaurant, however since I ordered online, I would have to call menu place for a refund. I then told the lady on phone that that I didn’t use door dash, I used the online menu ordering they use is through their website. I also let her know that I had called the night before, and they let me know I would have to contact the restaurant. The lady on the phone made a grunting sound and told me I could come in for the refund. I said I would be there is 10 minutes, but she then informed me that I would not be given a refund without the fried rice. I said to her that I live 25 minutes west, and would have to make an extra hour round trip for the rice that was at home in my fridge. She then said, that was fine, but I wouldn’t be given a refund without bringing in the day old fried rice. I told the lady that it was pour down rain, I was already in the area, couldn’t I just get my refund, seeing how you can see it was incorrect. She said “no dish, no refund.” This is absolutely despicable customer service. The person I spoke to on the phone said that she was the manager. She knew that this mistake was on the restaurant, and admitted so, however, she still had me produce the day old incorrect dish, and drive then extra 1 hour round trip to produce the dish, that she already knew to be wrong. So that night, I drove 25 minutes in pouring down rain to my house, picked up the day-old beef fried rice, drive 25 minutes back in a downpour, only to be given an attitude along with my $13. If I had died in that car on the way to pick up or return the food to be already wrong, would the restaurant have cared? That is something I will thankfully never know. But I do know this. That lady, the manager on the phone, did not care about my safety, convenience, or experience. We need to better our community. Do this by not giving any business to Yu’s. They will no longer be getting by $52 every 2 weeks. We’ll drive out of the way to go to China...
Read moreFood is good for sure and that’s the reason I visited many times and its close to where I work. One thing that stays consistent is the customer service which its really terrible. 1) They always serve water without ice to non-american (Asians) without even consulting. How stupid is that? 2) Last Friday (09/30/16), I booked table for 8 and right after a minute I called again and said it’s for 9, so they reserved the same table with extra chair squeezed in. These tables are so small and hard to fit and when I asked they gave excuse that I called later requesting for another person. It was a scene to add another table. How ridiculous is that? 3) I ordered specifically veggie delight with brown rice and they served with fried rice that has egg. They didn’t replace the plate but they gave brown rice in bowl. Isn’t that crazy? 4) Usually chips are served as soon as people are at table, this time they didn’t until the soup is served. When I asked they said yes they will bring and on my back server said I have only two hands. Wow? 5) The highlight and probably worse ever, we were throwing party for farewell and at checkout I paid for myself and the guest. They lady at counter ensures that the item is strike with pen on the bill/check as soon as payment made. I left as soon as I paid. Later my guest didn’t know that I paid and the lady took payment from him too. I am glad I cross checked with my guest later and called the lady to fix it. How idiotic could that be? These people have to change their attitude and treat...
Read moreAfter reading about how amazing Yu’s is on Facebook and Google, I had to try it. Unfortunately I was terribly disappointed. First off, we arrived today around 2:30 in the afternoon, nobody else was there, when we walked in the older lady behind the cash register either didn’t see us or was ignoring us and we had to speak to her first, a couple times, to get her attention. Second, the entire time we were attempting to order she was rushing us to complete our order. Third, I ordered Mu Shu Pork and received Chicken Fried Rice but did get the pancakes and plum sauce of the Mu Shu Pork. Being hungry I ate the Chicken Fried Rice and could tell it should have tasted good, however it was pretty dry and over cooked. All in all I would love to give it another try since I here it’s supposed to be the best Chinese around, but I think I will pass on the whole experience. Attached is a picture of my Mu Shu...
