Guadalajara Grill Taco Shop — Restaurant in Visalia

Came here for the first time for lunch cuz I was craving Mexican food! The photos popped up on Yelp and the food looked delicious so we decided to try it out! The buche and tripa had us sold. Lol

When we got to the address we were surprised this place was inside a AM/PM. I didn’t mind at all cuz it had its own little area. Staff was friendly.

We ordered their Bistec Ranchero Burrito for me cuz a sign was on the front register. Caught my eye. My mans ordered our daughter a shrimp taco and he ordered 2 buche and 1 tripa which we would’ve ordered 2 tripa and 1 buche except they charge extra for their tripa (sorry didn’t catch the exact amount); it also doesn’t state that in their menu. We also ordered a large horchata.

Food came out within 10-15 minutes (see photos below). The burrito was okay; tasted like something from Chipotle. The tripa was BOMB; buche was okay. Loved their tripa! It was super crunchy; reminded me of crispy bacon. Their Horchata I would give 3 stars. Sorry, but had too much of something (perhaps cinnamon?) idk the horchata from AM/PM which we later purchased for $.89 cuz we weren’t about to pay another $4.50 tasted better to me (idk maybe it’s all the high fructose syrup) lol. Had better horchata elsewhere is where I’m getting at. Haha.

Anyways, would rate this place a 4. Loss points for their small portions..other than that, come check them out!

Amazing food! Nothing I've had from here has been bad! Only problem is that they have now raised their prices 2 times in last 4 or 5 months. 11 dollars now for a burrito. 12 for lengua, etc. For that price I can go to another decent mexican restaurant and also get rice and beans with my order. Breakfast burritos used to be 7.50 are now 8.50 and over. Their daily deals aren't really worth it anymore in my opinion. And it seems they only raise the prices on the popular items like the burritos, asada fries, and the nachos. Tacos have been the same since I've been going. If this continues to be the trend and the prices keep going up for no real reason then I'll probably end up going elsewhere for decent Mexican food. There's a fine line between greed and quality and I feel like they're about...

We ordered 4 asada tacos with just cilantro and 1 asada taco with everything and 1 goat birria soup. Unfortunately we didn’t receive what we ordered my single taco was plan and the birria goat soup was beef x2. I did notice there were 2 soups but thought to myself it’s fine ill have leftovers. To be honest the food wasn’t bad it actually tasted pretty good, and for that I give them 2 stars. The asada is well seasoned with all the fat and tendons removed and they pack it on the taco. The birria soup taste decent with big chunks of beef and comes with what appears to be homemade tortillas but they were super stale and unfortunately inedible because of how hard they were.
