1st time ever at a distellary, walked in not knowing what to expect. They have taster flights for $12 where you can choose from 3 0.5 oz pours of your choice Rum, Gin, or Whiskey what a deal!! I recommend their Rye Whiskey, Aged Gin, Spiced Rum (its soooo good we took a bottle home). Did I mention they 1 barrel make their liquors!!! Yes no batches just a barrel #. My Spiced Rum came from barrel #9 They have a cocktails menu with house made honey syrups and house made simple syrup, they use Mexican Coca Cola with their delicious Spiced Rum. Their citrus slices are fresh and Archie is so fun to talk to. I tried a few and liked them all !! When I asked about about their name 117 degrees West he said its San Diego's longitude and 117 West is where the steel they use came from...if I remember correctly. Great booze, locally distilled! San Diego is already at the vanguard of the craft brewing movement, and with additions like 117 West, it will soon be at the frontline of the latest trends in distilling.
