My spouse and I were looking for a place to have a late breakfast. I noticed their storefront driving down S. Santa Fe Dr a few days earlier and we decided to give it a try. Upon walking in there is a sign that instructs you to order at the counter. We sat at a table near the front window and looked at the extensive menu. Then, after a short wait, a young man came over and took our order. A few minutes later the food was brought to our table and it was delicious! I ordered a ham, mushroom and cheese omelette and my spouse ordered a Denver omelette. Both were loaded with ingredients and cooked thoroughly. The sides of fruit had several kinds of fruit including blueberries and strawberries. We are big iced tea drinkers, and if the fresh brewed iced tea is not made daily or not refrigerated properly we will sometimes pass over that eatery completely. We were delighted with the tea and were told that it is made daily and it is a special blend of Stash teas. Overall we had no complaints and even the cook came out of the back to check on us! Wow! We will definitely come...
Read moreI’ve never written a review like this before, but my experience today at AM GOODNESS CAFE was so bad that I feel I had to share it.
I went to this café hoping for a peaceful meal, but instead I was screamed at by the owner and told to leave—simply because I politely asked if my food was ready. I had been waiting quite a while with no updates, no check-ins, and I was getting hungry, so I gently reminded him that no one had followed up with me. His response? He raised his voice and aggressively told me to leave the restaurant.
There was no apology, no explanation—just hostility. I’ve never been treated so disrespectfully by a business owner in my life. This place clearly doesn’t care about customer service, and the atmosphere was tense and uncomfortable from the moment I walked in. Dead silent. Felt like a library but hostile.
There are plenty of other cafés where you’ll be treated with basic human decency. I highly recommend going to one of...
Read moreGoodness gracious! Who would have thought smiling to customers, or rather, NOT smiling, would have such an impact? Not only is everything pretty much self-service, but the server didn't even check on us once we got our food. It was just the two of us, my mom and I, and it was our first time here. This used to be a Dairy Queen. This experience made me miss DQ because you had the impression you were appreciated as a customer at DQ. It didn't seem to matter too much that the food was decent. It seemed like a missed opportunity to make a good impression. I wouldn't come back. Even people at drive thru windows are friendlier than this place was. Hopefully, the next owner/restaurant can check their employees and ensure they want to be there and know how to fulfill the minimal requirements of waitstaff, like...checking on customers, offering refills, literally the bare minimum should be smiling at your guests. Without them, you'll be out of...
