Francisco's Mexican Deli — Restaurant in Vista

If you are looking for real delicious Mexican Food, look not further! This place is one of the best. I love their Menudo con pata and my husband loves their tacos de birria with consomé. One little thing though, prepare yourself to wait because there is demand. Also, parking is not available most of the time on Sunday mornings. What we do is order over the phone and just pick it up. I'm giving 5 stars to the food but 3 to the way they deliver the service.

Edit: 11/14/2020 at 9am. Today was the second time they forgot about my 'pata' in my menudo. I understand things may get busy at times; however, even the manager agreed that this morning has not been busy at all. I ordered my menudo con extra pata and they didn't add any pata. You literally just shattered my reality of a happy meal and it was not cheap! I understand life happens and I understand I have options too. May this allow you to provide more attention to detail trainings because your customers deserve to enjoy...

Francisco’s Deli has some spot-on tortillas that are freshly made. These are not your Mission or Guerrero tortillas that fall apart when you are about to bite in. Although, they are not perfectly shaped, they have the flavor and crunch that makes them mouth-wateringly delicious.

I have gone on multiple occasions and have been impressed by the food quality whether that is the caldo de pollo, birria tacos etc.

They even hooked me up with the sides when I had the caldo de pollo.

It has been about a year since my last visit, the owners are still the same but the food was a disaster this visit. The prices arre incredibly expensive. Paid $40 for 5 tacos and 2 mulas "cheese and meat" on homeade flour tortillas. The meat was dry for the tacos birria and my wife had 2 tacos of lengua the meat was all nerves. Unbelievable. The owner needs to visit more often and set things straight. It's hard to find a good place to eat now a days. It's a fortune and their giving you trash.....
