The Water Shack — Restaurant in Vista

This is my third online order that I placed on the Door Dash App for my lunch meal. My order was the one BBQ Beef Hot Dog with Sweet Relish, Shredded Cheddar Cheese, Sweet BBQ Sauce and 3 Breaded Onion Rings on top in this BBQ Dog, one regular size French Fries, one Sprite Soft Drink and one Ice Cream Sandwich with the middle I chose the Coconut Pineapple Ice Cream with one Peanut Butter Cookie on the bottom and one Sugar Cookie with Rainbow Sprinkles on the top part on this Ice Cream Sandwich. My total order cost was $32.00. My order was delivered to me on time to my house by the dasher driver. He handed me my order. Then I unpacked every food item from these 2 paper bags and I took my one Sprite Soft Drink and placed it on the dining room table to get ready to sit down and eat my lunch but I had reheat my one BBQ Beef Hot Dog, this Hot Dog was huge and a good size meal and I also had to reheat my one order of the regular French Fries in my microwave oven for a few minutes. Then when the time was done I took both the BBQ Dog and the French Fries out of the microwave oven and placed both of these items onto one large plate then I got ready to eat them. I took small bites of this BBQ Beef Hot Dog with the 3 Onion Rings on top. This BBQ Hot Dog was really tasty and delicious with this sweet BBQ Sauce and these French Fries has a crispy texture and these fries were very tasty and lightly salted. My favorite part was eating this really yummy Ice Cream Sandwich. I had the choice on choosing my flavor. I chose the one scoop of the Coconut Pineapple Ice Cream with the one Sugar Cookie on top with Rainbow Sprinkles and the bottom cookie I chose was the Peanut Butter Cookie with peanuts. This Ice Cream Sandwich Cookie was so delicious. I believe the Water Shack Restaurant serves really delicious Thrifty Ice Cream Flavors and all of their Brownie Bomb Two Scoops Ice Cream Sundae I ordered last time, it was so delicious. I was very impressed with their good quality food products at this Water Shack Restaurant. Everything that I ate that I had ordered I was very happy and I enjoyed eating their delicious food for my lunch meal. I highly recommend this Water Shack Restaurant. I will reorder from this Water Shack Restaurant again. I love their food items very much! My fourth order was the One Beef Dip. The price is $11.00. My drink was the one FUZE Raspberry Iced Tea. The price is $$2.00. My dessert was the 2 scoops of Thrifty Ice Cream for the Hot Fudge Sundae. I chose the one scoop of Coconut Pineapple Ice Cream and one scoop of the Butter Pecan Ice Cream with Hot Fudge Sauce, crushed nuts. Cherries and whipped cream. The price is $6.00. The Chili Bowl was $4.00. My subtotal was $23.00. The delivery fee was zero. The service fee was $1.15. The tax was $1.90. The dasher tip was $5.00. My total bill was $31.05. Every food item I had eaten was very delicious. Their food is always made with fresh...

We were in the S.D. area for a few days and looking for a place to eat when I saw the reviews for The Water Shack. We often look for non-chain places (and have found some incredible places as a result) and the reviews were higher than I'd seen for an eatery, so we decided to go out of the way to try it. It was a 25 minute drive from where we were staying, and it doesn't look like much from the outside, but it was awesome. They have a range of foods: many hotdogs and hamburger options, pastrami, patty melts, etc, etc. Well over 30 choices for entree. Then they have shakes, sundays, shave ice, fruit smoothies, frappuccinos, ice cream, homemade cookies... the list goes on. I had a double burger and fries while my wife ordered a chili burger and onion rings. The burgers were great and my wife and I aren't sure we've ever had better fries or onion rings! Oh, and when I saw the double burger I knew I was in trouble - the menu said two 1/4 lb patties, so I was envisioning patties from a McD quarter pounder. Not so. These patties were monstrous. After our meal we were pretty stuffed, but got shakes on the way out anyway. They have 12 flavors of Thrifty ice cream to choose from, so options! The shakes were great, too. Oh, and before I forget, the service was friendly, fast, and friendly (yes, I know I said friendly twice). Last but not least, the prices range from reasonable to exceptional. A large pile of onion rings was under $5, the shakes, made from actual ice cream, not soft serve, were just over $5. So, if you find yourself in the area and don't make the effort to check out The Water Shack, you're doing yourself...

Shirley found the spot for this early evening dinner. The Water Shack. Although i have now lived here in Vista for just under 2 years, and have driven up and down this street at 3 to 4 times I week, I had not noticed this establishment. I even been to Santa Ana Mexican Food next door. Okay, now about the food. We ordered burgers, chilidog, fries, onion rings and soda. My burger was a cheeseburger with bacon, Swiss cheese and heavy, heavy, onions (that means alot of onions). Bacon is a new thing... (secret menu item...shhhhhh). My burger was very good. I did enjoy it. Fries were great, had crispyness to it. The onion rings were very unique. I can safely say, it was a new experience for me. The hot dog itself was quite tasty, and juicy. The chili was unique also. After eating the meal, we ordered ice cream for dessert. You cannot go wrong with chocolate malt crunch on sugar cone. Yummy. Overall all food was very good. The folks that work here were very friendly engage us, made eye contact and definately made us feel welcome. The store also is a water dispensary. The filtration system is of high quality.... I recommend stopping by and having chow here. Critique: The build shape, and colorful makes the business almost invisible. I think hiring someone to paint huge colorful murals on both sides of the wall to attract attention to...
