Our child experienced a theatre camp for the first time. I did not have any expectations going into it. It was the first time my child expressed great interest in participating in theatre. Every time my child came out of rehearsal, they were contented with the learning experience.
When we saw the show, we were impressed by how the director was able to find parts for every child that fit within their experience and cognitive capacity. There were little kids and then teens all mixed together and it worked to tell a story. It takes a professional mind to know how to do this. The props, costumes, and set were impressive for a tiny little theatre production. The paperwork, announcements, and purchasing were well-thought out and organized. It's a very well run organization and educational facility.
My child wants to return for more training. Tina Fey wrote in her book Bossy Pants that every neighborhood needs a community theatre program... and Vista is lucky to have Broadway...

Read moreThe Broadway Theatre in Vista is the best small playhouse in CA, hands down, in my book! I’ve attended almost every play, beginning about 5 years ago, and not one was a disappointment! Doug and Randy are in their element, and the acting is superb! This week I saw “Tuesdays with Morrie” there. It was poignant and tender, and I bet that most of the audience was quietly crying with me. We all gave the two actors a standing ovation.
