Rafaela's Restaurant — Restaurant in Vista

I tried this place for the first time today. The breakfast burrito that I ordered was requested with egg,cheese, potato, sour cream, and avocado(no meat). From the time that I walked in the door. I was given a very distant welcome from the waitress helping people. When I got home,My burrito had ham. I called the restaurant and the waitress argued that I said no bacon when I told her what to put on the burrito to begin with. So, she said that they would remake it. When I got there, she ignored me with her back turned then she handed me the burrito(with no apology, no 'Thank you' you or anything. This place is definitely racist to people who aren't of Mexican culture and I'm never going back with my money. The sad part is, The burrito was delicious but not worth that...

Rafaela's is a hidden gem whose unique Mexican flavors really stand out. The homemade chips are full of flavor, the salsa actually has a kick and the cream salsa (cheese and jalapenos) is so good it can be drizzled on everything. Rolled tacos are filled with stewed beef and dressed with fresh lettuce an cheese. The sopas piled high with tender meat. Shrimp enchiladas smothered with a white cream sauce elegantly arranged on the plate. Delicious fatty refried beans and rice. Carne asada plate came with grilled jalapenos and onions. They offer a selection of popular Mexican beers. The service from family members is attentive and friendly. Wonderful experience and looking forward to...

You know a restaurant has excellent Mexican food when most of the patrons are Mexican-Americans! Food was not only really really good the plates were huge! The fresh chili Rihanna's were so good. My mother and I got the el mariscos topping it was more than enough food for two people.

Lunch even on weekdays is very crowded. After about 1:30 PM it dies down. We ate on the patio out although there aren't a lot of tables there. Most people are inside and we weren't as comfortable doing that with two high-risk people.

We also had margaritas. I'm not sure they're made with tequila or wine but they were very tasty and used fresh ingredients...
