If you like soggy homefries and burnt eggs, well then you've found your place. Don't mention this to the staff though or they will call the cops on you. The owner is a tool. I asked the nice waitress if they have ever received a compliment on their homefries. She has been there a long time. She shook her head and said, "no, not ever". I said, "don't you think the owner/chef should know this? He might want to work on his menu because there is going to be a new breakfast place opening up in a couple weeks just a block away. He's going to need to compete now that he will no longer have the only breakfast place in downtown Wadsworth." That was it. I didn't yell or curse or make any scene. I didn't whisper either and I'm sure some other patrons heard me. A few moments later the owner walks out from the kitchen towards me. I extend my hand to shake his because I think he is going to want to hear my food complaint and he is going to show some respect to his customer. Instead he refuses to shake my hand and starts waving his finger in my face telling me I have no business telling him how to run his business. He then asks the waitress if the cops are on their way? They never even asked me to leave! Then he asks me to leave and tells me the cops are on their way. I asked if he would like me to pay for my meal first because I don't want to be arrested for walking out on my bill. At this point an officer walks in and I go outside with him to tell him what happened. I also point out there are a bunch of witnesses in the restaurant that can verify my story. Then 3 more cops show up! The cop went in and talked to the owner. He came out and told me that everything I said was verified and I don't have to pay for my food. He also said I'm not allowed back in there and assumes I don't mind that. I don't mind at all. I thanked the officers for their time and apologized that 4 of them needed to be dispatched over something so frivolous namely, the horrible food served inside. What a waste of their time and our tax dollars. The last time I had ate at this place I got sick and swore I would never go back. I obviously wish I wouldn't have and I cant wait for the new...

I went to lunch here with a friend. I found out that they serve breakfast all day. Pinch me I must be in Heaven. Our server was wonderful and so was our meal. Soup, salad bar and a 2 piece pike with 2 sides. Yes I am in Heaven. I brought my husband here for dinner ( his first time) and we had Megan as our waitress. She was friendly and told us about the specials and what the soup of the day was. We both chose clam chowder and it was delicious. We both had the pike dinner. The salad bar is small but great. Salad, fresh spinach, pasta salad, peppers, mushrooms, cukes, cottage cheese, coleslaw, tomatoes, croutons and bacon bits. Homemade rolls that are so yummy. I had fries with my fish and my hubby had the onion rings. They weren't greasy at all and they were the best onion rings that we have eaten in10 yrs. Megan took our order, pointed us to the salad bar and then returned with our drinks and the rolls. She was constantly checking on us(in a good way.) Making sure that I had enough lemons, that the food was to our liking, making sure that our drinks were full and that we had enough take home boxes. She was so professional and it's been years since we had a waitress that knew what she was doing. ( note to the owner, you have the best wait staff and busboys of any place we have eaten in years. Megan is a treasure. So was the waitress when I came for lunch and I apologize for not asking your name). We were so full when we left. I have never eaten that much in my life. I will be back for breakfast. I forgot there was fresh fruit on the salad bar. I only wish that I could give you...

Really great local food and atmosphere. Definitely "soul food" style cooking and menu matches the style of cooking. Good food for a small privately owned and operated restaurant. Prices are incredibly reasonable, especially for the portion sizes you get! Just be warned, tons of butter in the home fries! Consumers with high cholesterol, this may not be the spot for you! We were the only people of the Caucasian influence, which is NOT a bad or negative comment! Hopefully I don't offend anyone. I just wanted to give a honest depiction of my family and my experience! Staff were very friendly and other patrons were very friendly and helpful with questions about the area. I'd like to thank the older African American gentleman. who we fished beside at Lake Erie all day, for suggesting this restaurant to us! Just a quick warning, if you are using GPS of any kind to find your way back from the restaurant, you will probably get lost in some rough and tough deserted areas of Cleveland's "East side." Probably be a good idea to save your directions coming to and just reverse them to avoid rougher areas that you should probably avoid if you have younger children with you. Hope you also enjoy your Alexandris...

My mom and I always like trying new (to us) locally-owned establishments. I had previously read some really great reviews for Alexandris, so we decided to stop here for breakfast. Boy, I'm glad we did!! It was quite busy when we arrived, which I expected. But we were promptly seated and did not wait long for our server to take our orders. It took us a few minutes to gaze over the menu (there is a great selection of meals to choose from!). My mom ordered blueberry pancakes with bacon, and I had a veggie omelet made with Egg Beaters. As someone with high cholesterol, this was a selling point me! I'm thankful Alexandris provided this as an option. We didn't have to wait long on our food. It was hot, fresh, plentiful, and so delicious!! The home fries were some of the best I've ever had! My mom was impressed, too. Our server (unfortunately, I don't remember her name) was so friendly and helpful. In all, we really enjoyed everything about this place, including the very reasonable prices! We will definitely be returning, especially since I saw they had stuffed grapes leaves as a lunch special (they are my favorite!). You don't have to spend a lot of money to enjoy an amazing meal. Great job, Alexandris!!

We stayed in town while attending a concert at Blossom Music Center. I met up with an old friend while in town and she recommended Alexandris if we were looking for a place to have breakfast in the morning. I am so glad she did. I love the little town atmosphere of Wadsworth, and this little diner fit perfectly! We were greeted by the hostess upon entering and we had the choice of either a table or the counter. We chose the counter. Everyone in there is so pleasant and attentive. Didn't take long for our food. The food was superb! They even add a little decoration on the plate, even for breakfast! I had a Belgium waffle and a side of bacon. There was a nice scoop of butter on the waffle and the syrup does not have high fructose corn syrup in it. I only recently that I can not have it because it will upset my stomach later, so I completely forgot and put a nice helping of syrup on my waffle. Later as I was remembering how good the food way, I realized my stomach was not bothered by it, so I do not think the syrup has the high fructose in it. Their prices are very reasonable as well. I will definitely be back if I am ever in the area. I have to try the lunch and dinner options of course! 😉

My wife and I visited Alexandris on a Saturday around noon after our daughter's cross-country race. There was a 10 minute wait which we visited the spice and tea shop next door. Once seated, we got our drinks, and it took another few minutes for our waitress to take our order which was to be expected during their busy lunch rush. My wife ordered the Greek Skillet (home fries, 2 eggs, feta cheese, tomatoes, gyro meat, olives, and a side of tzatziki sauce) with rye toast. I asked for the chicken parmesan and it came with a cup of soup (broccoli cheddar) and a trip to their salad bar. The salad bar was small but had a decent variety for the size: lettuce, coleslaw, various veggies, fresh fruit, cottage cheese, and dressings. The soup was OK, not hot. We enjoyed our meal. The food was good and I was very impressed with the price. Probably one of the best values at a restaurant I've seen in a long time. Lots of great specials. If you're in Wadsworth and you're looking for an affordable place to eat with decent food, check out Alexandris Restaurant.
