Water Main Grille in Ohio is a true hidden treasure — the kind of place locals swear by and visitors wish they had back home. With its clean, modern layout and relaxed, friendly energy, it’s easily one of the most welcoming spots this side of I-76.
I ordered the gyro salad, chicken noodle soup, and an unsweetened iced tea — which came with a real lemon slice, not one of those wimpy wedges. The gyro salad was spot-on: fresh greens, well-seasoned gyro meat, and a dressing that tied it all together without overpowering it. The chicken noodle soup was light but satisfying — a clear, flavorful broth with thin noodles and tender, smaller chunks of real chicken. It tasted homemade in the best way, like someone actually cares back in that kitchen.
Service was outstanding — warm, attentive, and fast. You don’t pay at your table; instead, you settle up at the register near the front after your meal, which somehow adds to the laid-back charm. And let’s talk about that candy selection — an entire display case of candies to grab for the ride home. It’s the kind of extra touch that makes Water Main Grille feel more like an experience than just a meal. We'll...
Read moreThe food was good and reasonably priced - I got soup with my sandwich platter that I didn't know came with it! The service was excellent; the sandwich just took a couple minutes more than I expected (I was hoping not to be that person that's still eating after close but didn't make it - to be fair, I came in 15-20 minutes before close). I like when a new place in downtown matches Wadsworth history and character yet modernizes things in their choice of decor, and this place does just that. I think an old Crites sign is even back over their kitchen door but I couldn't really see. The sodas are cans of pop for $.75 with a glass of ice, which is probably more product than you get at most restaurants for a cheaper price. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Wadsworth. The biggest issue is parking. Being on the corner of 2 fairly busy streets with limited spots on the street and no visible lot spots I ended up in the abandoned grocery store lot, but it...
Read moreEditing this to inform there IS parking in the lot on the NW corner of Main St. & State St. (Other reviews mention only street parking.) I can't say enough good about this place! I've been there a few times for lunch specials with great service and food each time. Then I started running around the corner for the dinner specials and hubby, of all people, is talking! He loves food but rarly recommends places & said he's telling everyone at work! I order, tell them a time, and they promptly run it out to me! Everything is carefully packaged, hot and accurate! There is nothing bad to say about this place!! I loved what they've done to the old Crites Restaurant and love they're bringing some life back to the south end! Keep the good food coming guys! We will be back...
