If you have never been it is a must! We were passing through and I love to come to mom and pop BBQ places. We live in Edmond and I just googled this place. Went in with two my contractors and we ate at the bar. The welcome we received was warm and genuine. The way they made the building their own was great. Old tin on the ceiling, barn wood on the walls. Great BBQ atmosphere! The wait staff really cared about the patrons and everyone was so nice. I ordered half and half tea. Their sweet tea was not over powering if I would have gotten it alone. But the half and half was perfect for me. We were given many suggestions and I ended up going with the loaded pulled pork fries and asked for a few ribs and a sample of brisket. They were very accommodating and the brisket was so tender! The ribs feel off the bone and the pulled pork and hand cut fries were top notch! One of my contractors paid for our lunch so I got a piece of Chocolate pie! Lol. It was very good! They said home made. If it was I want my wife to make that! Go by there and check them out. So friendly and personable! Thank you ladies very much for the blessed lunch we had...

Ok, so I am done eating now and here is how things shook out. I ordered the 2-meat plate, sliced brisket and ribs (ribs $3 extra). It comes with two sides, for me it was slaw and baked beans. The meat, very very smokey and very very tender. The brisket had a nice crust, not dry, not too bad. The ribs too tender, the meat had little texture. Not particularly meaty and the meat that was on them would fall off the bone with a good shake. Too tender for my liking. Slaw very good. Baked beans….it is recommended that you pass on them. Chili bean seasoned, didn’t care for them. My wife had the Smoked Chicken salad. She was very pleased with it. Fresh salad mix, with nice smokey diced chicken breast. She said it needed pickles? Odd, I thought she didn’t like pickles. I gave her the few that were on my tray. Response….Perfect!
Located in a historic old building on main. Large dining area with BBQ joint décor....
Read moreThe good: Let me tell you they have the BEST fried okra. Some of my okra was fibrous which was gross but it was still the best I've had in a long time. I've had better pulled pork but it was still enjoyable. Service and atmosphere would both good. The bad: THE PRICE ON THE MENU IS NOT WHAT YOU WILL PAY IF PAYING BY CREDIT CARD. After receiving my ticket I asked about the price difference and was told that a credit card fee is added to the menu prices. I asked where on the menu this was noted and was told that it's not. "It's noted on the back of the POS," I was told. Although I completely understand wanting to charge credit card fees, the way it was done was absolutely NOT the way to go about it. I am not from Oklahoma and so I asked around to make sure this wasn't a local thing and no one had ever heard of doing things this way. For this, I will not be back...but I will surely...
